Parked one car at Hamburg rd parking lot, and drove to Gambrill Park Rd and started the blue trail in the parking lot of the Gambrill trails. It was about 6 miles the one way, and it is pretty rocky terrain the whole way. Lots of inclines and declines, and definitely makes you sweat! It was a beautiful hike, will definitely do again!

trail in the battle ground is great. Except for a steep incline in the beginning part, it is really flat. Scenery is beautiful in april. However the map is not great. Do not attempt the second part of the loop (the section that goes parallel to i270 and goes underneath) That part has nothing to see and all you do is walk in a road. There is no pedestrian section so you share the road with cars for the most part. The dirt road with gravels makes a lot of dust any time a car passes by. The section that goes under i270 is not only bad but also dangerous. You are basically walking on the car road... This should have been listed as a 4 ish mile loop containing only the battleground part.

easy hike. took about 2hrs 15min. 2 creeks and 3 ponds.

Nice for a short hike! There is a little bit of everything, cows, river, woods, and history. I took my wife on her first hike. Great for beginners.

First time in Gambrill State Park. Really enjoyed it. Rain made rocks on part of the trail a little slippery, but other than that it was what I expected.

Great trail with numerous stream crossings and only saw 1 person on a gorgeous day!

Nice walk.

Um NO. This trail began by following the (very sporadic and oddly placed) blue tics, which led me to a dead end/yellow trail after 6 MILES. I had to call freaking 911 and finally I followed the yellow path to get to Gambrill road which was three miles away from where I parked to begin this trail!!! The policeman wouldn’t have even found me as he was driving away from me as I came out onto the street! I was waving frantically ; he had to back his car up and drive me back to my car. I no longer trust this app.

Fun, challenging, remote trail. Was only able to do the southernmost section by Gambrill State Park. Would definitely complete more of this trail, especially when it's not a blizzard.

Nice hike on a warm winter day. We got a pretty good workout in and saw some cool views (we were able to see pretty far as most of the trees had lost their leaves).

Not much to see and a lot of it is by the road. I'm sure in the summer with the leaf cover it seems more secluded and quiet but the car noise cut down on the quiet during my warm January day hike. The trail is very rocky too so you spend a lot of time on foot placement/focus looking down. I did this with a 30lb weight best so that tended to make the hike more of a workout so keep that in mind with this review. What made this challenging was the sheer rockiness of the path. I don't think I'll try this one again soon but it's worth a hike for sure.

Great ride in my Jeep JK. Love the views and woods.

Great ride in a 4x4

Wonderful for after work or spur of the moment walk. View of Baker Valley from Brooks Hill Trail is lovely! Then circle around by the field and head down by the river. Lots of variety for a short hike!

Great views! However it is more challenging than moderate with the rocks - especially the downhill after 1.2 miles . It can be tricky with fall leaves covering the rocks.

A good bit of up and down. Couple of nice look-outs.

Loved this shaded trail.

Easy/moderate trail with upper and lower loops. Follows close to the road for some of the trail, but otherwise good seclusion. Loved the frequent change in plant life as we looped around to different faces of the mountain. Very peaceful all around and worth making the trip for.

got a bit lost. the park labels both an upper and lower yellow trail

We got a bit lost, and ended up accidentally following the green trail for a bit, but the black was easy enough to get back on to, and the maps were very accurate. I think we missed some overlooks as a result. :(

This trail is a little bit harder then they describe it, however it's manageable be ready to let your dog stop for water breaks if you go in the summer! beautiful veiws, a very relaxing hike, and the most rewarding view is at the top of course! this trail seems longer then 2 miles and the hills are long, yet once you get to the top it's a easy loop back down making a great workout. My dog loved it..i went way to late though and had a nice park ranger help me back to my car! if you want to watch the sunset like I had planned get there at 7:30 or 8:00pm! so rewarding to hike. Also they saw a bear yesterday, so amazing to think this is so close to my home!

Nice Hike

Nice trails, not a lot of people, Worthington Farm tails is hilly

good trail to take the dog for a walk. kinda busy with people though

The trail was nice but it is way too close to the road for a good portion of it. The upper part of the trail was the best part.

Great hike.

Nice trail, can get really muddy after a lot of rain though.

you know what'd be even better about this place? being able to enter the house.

i must've tried every single window; apparently they've got locks.

also the hill close by? very nice.

Hundreds of Mountain Laurel are blooming. The ferns are so beautiful. Go now, before the blooms are gone!
