Always a good run on the trail. It is shaded for summer runs which is nice. There are not as many people on Herring Run Trail compared to Lake Montebello. Lake Montebello is a nice loop with workout equipment along the way. Lots of people, all of the time.

This is a paved city walk by lots of chain restaurants and gimmicky touristy stores. It can be a nice walk though. Try to go in the morning or evening, and avoid the hoards of tourist.

My wife and I took our dog and she loved it. However, the trails weren't really clear and we didn't know where to start or where it looped. After one path be backtracked to another path that was overgrown and hard to follow at points. Ended up going back the way we came and heading home. We decided to not go back because of the conditions of the trails.

Easy but busy trail. Two streams for dogs

It was a nice trail but be warned that there is an entrance fee for the park. It's $3 for locals and $5 for out of state. You can park in the local neighborhoods but the locals don't seem to welcoming to park visitors, but most of those signs are homemade so they're really not legal. The trail does not necessarily follow the dotted line like it shows in the map. When you hit the end you can't come back on the River Road trail unless you want to walk your bike part of the way. Some of the side trails are nice too but unless your are serious mountain biker I would not do them all bike. They seem more like hiking trails. All in all it's a nice park and beautiful scenery.

Inner Harbor walking/easy hiking, on a warm, early-summer night. I managed to get 7 miles in. Don’t mean to romanticize and all, but to be perfectly honest, the outing reminded me of that old smooth jazz song. Just an absolutely marvelous night for walking and being on the Inner Harbor. There was music (house or techno) on one end of the Harbor, and a live band playing on the other end. I guess this is the reason why I couldn’t resist recalling that old song. If you don’t know the one I’m talking about, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/GDWNwIVCzxM Completed: 22-June-2019 (Saturday)

couple short stretches of closed sections as described below. nice trail. little foot traffic

Nice walk along the bay. No challenge just a leisurely walk.

Felt very safe, well traveled in the morning on a Saturday. Definitely being sun protection as much of the path has little to no shade.

UPDATE JUNE 5, 2019 The New section of the Grist Mill Trail is OPEN and so is ALL the rest down to the Lost Lake Pond. - All the trees in the new section are just babies so you are in total SUN LIGHT. - During the summer be sure to carry plenty of water to drink. - The entire trail is paved in blacktop. - If you are hiking between Ilchester Rd. and the Swinging Bridge be careful crossing the section where the bridge is washing out. - Rocks have been piled up to walk across but this spot can flood during a storm. - Flood signs are posted. *** THE UPPER OLD RIVER RD. TRAIL CLOSED. ***

Love. Love this forest! I use to go off trail and found many many beautiful adventures. Forever in my heart. Love it. Great hike.

If your dog breed overheats really fast, this isn’t the place for you, unless you go right before the sun goes down. There’s no shade. The water is nasty and polluted. Besides all that, it’s a good place to walk/run. Idk why ppl in the reviews said it was beautiful because when I went, it was okay

It is great to have this trail so close to us in downtown Baltimore. Some minor improvements could make it an even better experience, but it's a lovely local site.

After breakfast at The Iron Rooster we went to Fort Mchenry. - Being a Senior, we did it all FREE. - The trails and inside the Fort. - The trail around the fort is free to the pubic. - You can bike, hike or walk your dog but you can't go inside the Fort with animals. - There is a fee to enter the Fort. - The trail around the outside is flat and paved. - Great views of the waterfront. - We then when and visited your folks at the Baltimore National Military Cemetery. - Remember our fallen Hero's. They gave their all for our Freedom.

Cool trail but there are TONS of people. The directions take you to an entrance where there's barely any parking. You have to park at an MTA station that you pass in the way in which worked out well. Going in this way you have to walk through a park before you get to the trail. I don't know if that's the same at the other entrance. I went in a Saturday but I would recommend trying to go during the week when it's less crowded if possible.

I’d consider this more a walking trail then hiking but really enjoyed it! Nice breeze off the water, delicious crab cakes and cold beer at Captain James’s Crab house. Nice way to spend the afternoon.

Nice walk-jog on a very crowded Inner Harbor trail in downtown Baltimore. This outing was not all about trail running, however. It was a nice day to get out and enjoy the weather and people in the city. Garmin recorded. Completed: 19 May 2019

A good roundabout around a historical site, the highlight is a great Greek statue in honor of Francis Scott Key.
