if you are hiking, don't waste your time here. 2.5 mile in and out on an ATV trail. Millions of nats up your nose and in your ears. Off will not help with these. Nothing to see except for an old mattress.

Always a good trail run.

Awesome

Nice trail with great view but not marked well. Mostly ice under 3” snow cover which light traction (micro spikes) handled well. Snow shoes would have been a better option but left those at home not knowing there were several inches of powder. Overall nice hike.

This was a lovely winter hike in mid January. The lower half was hard packed snow; the snow was mostly gone from the upper half. A slow running brook provides amazing ice patterns and hoarfrost.

I live in Shapleigh. Have been to the top many times, a lot 4 wheeling and dirt bikes in the summer. So it is not a quit trail. Nice view all the way to the ocean.

Your not allowed to park where your gps brings you.... parking it at end of road. I asked a local and he allowed me to park at start of tote road under the no parking sign but if you don’t ask you should park at beginning of road. Once you walk down the tote road you take your first left then you take another left once you see large rocks this is where the climb gets a little more uphill. If children hike they need to be extra careful where the rocks and dirt make it easier to slip. It was a nice hike up didn’t take to long and was very pretty. Views are blocked by trees a little but it certainly worth the hike to see the view that you can see :) we also heard an owl
