USE CAUTION IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH DOGS! This is apparently is a popular dog walk for the locals, while Acadia National Park requires all dogs on a max five foot leash, this is off-leash under voice control. Some people we ran into were great and called there dogs and leashed them when we passed, others not so much. Our dogs were charged by an off-leash dog with a shock collar and took numerous calls from its owner to get it to return, only to have the dog charge is two more times before they finally passed. I'm sure our experience was an exception to the rule, but just be aware. It was a great walk aside from that and it's actually closer to four miles due to being reworked.
