love this trail. the views to effort ratio is really good

Went in winter. Not a groomed trail. used poles. Pleasant. Much of it parallels the road. No out in the woods feel. Will definitely do again though.

this would be good for skiing and snowshoeing. this time year

Love this easy trail by the Ocean.

Cool trail with a lookout tower on top. If you’re doing it in the winter it’s a good idea to bring poles. A good amount of loose snow was on the trails. Dogs need to be on leash or have really good recall, there are lots of snowmobiles on this trail!

Nothing better than a cold day in Maine. Snow is bright and packed from snowmobiles. The Hawk trail makes for a great loop. Don't let the cold weather keep you indoors.

Nice trail for anyone who wants to get out of the bustle of central Belfast for a few minutes. Views of the docks, bay, and passagasawaukeag river. Occasionally an osprey, too.

Decent family bike ride. Lots of stops between the Waterman drive intersection and bug light. Bug light park is a nice spot to let the kids and or dog romp around.

Long, flat trail through Scarborough Marsh. Nice place to picnic and walk the dogs.

Great walk, lots of birds in the Marshes.

Excellent trail. Moderate to easy. The view from the fire tower was worth the climb up.

Easy trail and great views for fall foilage and carriage roads. would reccomend renting or bringing a bike for the carriage roads.

nice trail but not one of the best

Pretty walking loop trail

I walk this trail yearly, I also use it for ATVing. Wish that it was more open further down the trail, but apparently a landowner does not approve this( a Game Warden). Used to be able to connect to McFalls. Amazing forest and animal sightings, Deer, turkey, rabbits, and Beaver.

The cemetery is gorgeous. My kids and I loved the trails.

Good trail!

These reviews are for the trails them selves, not the pedestrians they come across.

*Great hike with my dog and my 6 year old daughter.

Gorgeous views from the summits

Good place to take the family, lots of little spur trials that go to dead ends but fun none the less. Good chance to see wild life, we were surprised not one but two pairs of falcons at the end of a 1/2 mile or so dead end. Easy to put on 5-10 miles

Very nice, flat gravel walk. Very busy with lots of bike and foot traffic on this beautiful August Saturday.

This is an easy walk, flat and fairly smooth. Lots of “spurs” to add to the mileage. Be warned there is no shade so a sunny day can be pretty hot. Lots of blackberry bushes and a couple of streams. I think it would make for a great bike trail as well and look forward to trying it. Also would be good for cross country skiing in winter. (Goes without saying it is closed to cars).

Hats off to the town of Belfast for developing the rail track. We enjoyed an 8km morning walk while visiting for a couple of days.

this was actually a good day out biking. it would have been 5 stars except for the bridge crossing. first time through a group of kids were blocking the path. they had absolutely zero respect for anyone. we stopped so they could step aside and let us through. as we passed, o e of the kids grabbed the safety flag of the trailer I was pulling with my dog in it. the kid snapped the flag right in half. on the way back through, I gave the kids plenty of notice when I asked if they would step aside this time and let us pass. this time they wound up forcing my trailer, with my dog in it, over the edge of the trail into the railroad tracks. this turned into a very mouthy 13 or so year old being a complete ass. really took a lot out of what could have been a perfect day.

The view from the top is fabulous! There are two beautiful lakes to see. No guardrail, so hang onto your kids!

Acadia's Park Loop Road is the perfect introduction to this 47,000 acre park. Much of it is one-way traffic.

Beautiful easy hike or bike along the river. This Rail Trail also connects to a shorter Harbor Walk trail which has excellent views while you walk right through Front Street Shipyard, an active shipyard.

Nice easy and flat.
