Just a nice place to stop and maybe eat lunch.

Beautiful sunny day before Memorial Day. Lots of hikers, bugs and great views. Mud has pretty much dried up.

Waterfalls and ledges with very cold and clear wading pools. A bit of an off the path drive but we'll worth the short hike. the trail continues past the cataracts so be mindful if your not planning to hike more than this

Great hike on a sunny and 75 degree day. A bit muddy with some snow/ice still nearing the summit but no spikes necessary. I will say that there was a crazy amount of bugs, wish we brought bug spray. Overall, a nice hike with incredible views!

Quite a bit of mud and some ice nearing the top, otherwise it was a beautiful hike with lush green forest and streams. I loved it.

Muddy this time of year, still with some ice and snow along last quarter mile. Nice ridge walk with great views at the higher elevations. One of the less strenuous 2k+ elevation hikes in the area. Diverse scenery with sense of completely different ecosystems from start to summit.

Great fun, spikes aren’t strictly required but HIGHLY recommended. The last half mile is almost completely snow and ice. 5/13/20

First, this was 3.3 miles up, so about 6.5 miles all together. Hiked with May 7, 2020 my dog. Steeper start to gradual to steeper the rest of the way. Small mud spots were pretty easy to cross without going off trail. Still snow the last 1/2 mile to the summit; I brought grips but didn’t need to use them. Some spots of the trail are easy to loose but rock piles or branches generally help guide the way. Beautiful views and streams.

Hiked on May 3rd- warm and sunny at the start of the trail. Well marked with blue blazes and easy to follow. Muddy in places with some water. Crossings were rock hopable. Needed micro- spikes after first big viewpoint for last mile of the trail. Gorgeous day!

Hiked yesterday 5-2-20...trail was very well marked. Pretty muddy toward beginning of hike. Last mile or so requires micro spikes. Great views of sugarloaf and Washington. I’d say the hike is more around 6 miles total. Don’t try to hike without spikes this time of year.

Top third of the trail is snow and ice covered, bring micro spikes or crampons. Poles will help too. Amazing views!

Great trail. Lots of people today! The last mile of the hike needs spikes. Very steep inclines with sheer ice. But great weather!
