The stream has some amazing cascade falls and quite impressive in winter which makes for interesting ice formations. The Chapel is worth the trek. Be sure to where spikes in winter as there is a lot of ice on the rocks along the stream.

I overlooked this hike this past year, but am very happy that I finally went and checked it out. Not an overly tough hike, but one that has several viewpoints and vistas to enjoy. I hiked it during the dead of winter with YakTrax over my boots and had zero issues. The entire 6.6m trek took me about 2:20 total.

Will definitely be back this winter, but also a great trail running spot this summer!

Directions brought us right to the parking lot/ trail head. Trail was cleared and marked well. Pretty decent view from the top.

Fun snowy small hike with the pup!

Trails are super confusing and not marked

the puppy and I love roaming around Mt. Apatite, blue trail, red trail, we can walk them for hours. the new bike trail is beautiful too

Went for a hike 12/26/2018. Very little snow, but a lot of places with ice on the path. Not much of a view anywhere along the blue trail. Still fun to hike in the woods.

Nice trail for anyone who wants to get out of the bustle of central Belfast for a few minutes. Views of the docks, bay, and passagasawaukeag river. Occasionally an osprey, too.

great trail network in the city...doesnt even feel like youre in portland. beautiful marsh and falls. great spot to bring a dog..
lightly trafficked. good trail running and potential skiing

There are many trails here, with many different parking areas.

walked blue and red trails a week ago. beautiful quarry areas. trail signs are good in some spots and not well marked in others so you have to pay attention. all in all it was a nice stroll on a beautiful winter day.

nice easy trail for dogs...beautiful pond when iced over. would xc ski herr

awful..you can hear the highway the whole time and the pond is the culumation of many culverts. smells questionable.

The trail is not marked, so I followed the footprints and ATV track with no views or any points of interest. Good walk on a quiet day though. Did hear some shootings while on the trail.

This is a network of trails through fields and forest with small hills and beautiful creeks and waterfalls in high water. In the winter, the road into the playing fields is not plowed to the end however it is plowed to the first parking lot. Lots of dogs can be found with their owners while visiting this park.

the vast majority of this Trail is a flat gravel Carriage Road. We broke off the trail to the right toward the lake around 2/3 of the way through the loop. The shorts spur took us across a few boardwalks and down to a rock scramble next to the lake. We traveled approximately one mile over numerous large boulders. This added a bit of strenuous hiking to the loop. Overall, a gorgeous walk during Peak fall color.

Great place for trail running.

Loved hiking this in the snow 11/17/18. First real snow fall of the season. It was a great hike.

This trail is mostly a stroll through the woods but there is a leg that follows the edge of the lake and has nice views. The trail isn’t marked very well and it’s easy to venture off the trail but be careful because there are a couple of boggy areas that will trap you in the muck and make the rest of your hike cold if you get your feet wet.

very enjoyable walk through woods and marshlands (under restoration).

great trail with lots of different types of environments, pine and Moss to Marsh and oaks... pretty cool

This was a great walk in the woods today. Myself, friend and my dog. Parked at the Witt’s end entrance(you park on the side of the road). We then walked to the next sign and Turned around. My Fitbit said the total was 5.06miles. There was snow and ice in places but all in all it was a great walk. Did spook a deer, watched it bounce away. Pretty cool.

Came back today. 11/10/18. Again in the rain. Did the loop up the mountain. It was a nice easier workout and still nice in the rain. Of course very slippery on the leaves but that was expected. Only fell once and I laughed more then anything. May do again in the spring.

Not very well upkeep to the trail on the wooded side. Being from out of state it was a beautiful but spent most of my time looking at the ground.

Really beautiful hike for a short trail just very wet after 3 days of raining but worth it.

Unlike the title, this trail is open however as it's hunting season you should wear blaze orange.

More of a walk than a hike, but a pleasant well marked trail with only a couple of inclines of note. This was a great place to take my dog and he drank from a steam along the path. It was easy to find and there was good parking. If the views were better I would have given it a higher rating.

Ring trail still in good shape late October; rocks, roots, & mud appear to be the only reason for the moderate rating. 2 mile trail.
