Nice loop trail. Lots of roots near the trailhead makes for looking down a lot. Trail goes down to Royal River which loses about 120ft of elevation and then comes back up afterwards. The uphill portion will leave you a little winded but besides that it's an easy trail. Takes less than an hour.

A bit buggy, but the trails are well maintained. Good place to take an afternoon stroll.

Great hike to a cool wetland with tons of nests. Bring bug spray, the mosquitoes are relentless.

Rainy winter day and this trail is still great.

Two inches of fresh powder. Perfect day.

I love these trails. They are so well maintained, and extremely well marked. Do all the loops and you can easily over 10 miles. Take one of the atv trails that intersect the trails and you can go for 100s of miles. Rolling hills and a great mix between wide open cross country ski trails, and single track technical snow shoe trails. My dog and I love these trails. I run here 4-7 times a week and I'm never disappointed.

nice, easy, family friendly trail that loops around a beaver bog. Beaver, ducks, Canadian geese, turtles, can be seen seasonally. Note: There is a sign that states no dogs, at trail head.

Fun to walk after last night's heavy rains - TONS of run-offs and streams made the walk even more noteable.

Nice trail, not marked well so be aware

Went snowshoeing here and it was great! Nice trails that were insanely well-marked. Best marked trails I've ever been on. In the winter, there are 3 trails for snowshoeing/hiking/mountain biking, and there are many more trails that are groomed and for xc skiers only. It was a little icy, so we ended up snowshoeing instead of skiing. The three snowshoeing trails are connected to one another, so you can get some good mileage in if you want to!

Great geocaching trails. Lots of hills. Sometimes has increased traffic requiring dog to be leashed.

Nice and easy hike!

Went here on a rainy Saturday and only saw one other person. Beautiful forest landscape. Can do 1.8 miles or add the extra loop to make it longer.

Good trail to keep a steady pace on. Is easy when you want it to be and holds the potential to be challenging if you up your speed. A lot of good hills for sprints and I didn't get bored of it. Did about 2.8 miles of it and would highly recommend

Went shortly after a thaw and early parts of the trail were quite muddy and uninteresting, especially in the mixed use areas. The middle distances have been logged in the past, and though it is not a moonscape like some logging areas I've been to, it does have an eery open feeling to it with fairly young low growth. Something about the selective monoculture of mature trees that urks me. The farther out you travel the nicer it is with some tree variety returning. Pretty stream and wetland areas at the farthest reaches with signs of beaver activity. I would probably go back again at some point.

Nice little trail system supported by the school system and great for a wander in the woods with the dogs

It's hard enough for beginners to feel like they're doing great work. It's also easy enough for experienced runners and hikers to make a good time of it.

Nice, well marked trails. The north loop is nicer for hiking, and if you follow the "Spur trail to Royal River" indicated by a small yellow sign it leads to the river near an old railroad bridge. Just kinda interesting to see the train tracks/bridge out there. The south loop is just a little way down the road on the opposite side from the parking, but is a little boring of a hike. Both trails would probably be awesome for snowshoeing and I plan to go back in winter.
