Not what I expected as far as what I heard about views. But the very large Buck that I spooked out of the grass made it worthwhile:-)

Beautiful trail! I did the Rocky End Trail. 1.25 miles. Some parts are steep and have leaf coverage, so a little slippery. Beautiful outlook right on the cove. Marshes, open woods. I will definitely be doing this one again!

Jumped some deer starting the trail. Sunny, rocky walk in the woods.

We paid $35 apiece to be taken to the island from Popham. Terrific views on the way and obviously once you get there. There are a couple other short trails on the island and the lighthouse keepers will give you a tour.

Not the view I was anticipating. That said, beautiful pitch pine trees and nicely maintained [very short] trail.

Warning the quick blue loop is not marked only the longer white marked trail that is under construction. Okay but was hoping for more of a view.

Short quick hike. Not much of a view. Doesn't allow dogs.

This is listed as a hiking trail and it isn't, at least not that I can find.

Perfect place for bird watching. I spotted a snowy egret in the marshes, which are fairly unusual this far North. Trails are clearly marked and have easy footing. CAUTION: Very high tick population! Dress appropriately and check yourself after your hike.

Nice set of three trails, I've lived nearby for half my life and glad I finally made the trip. I went on the 'Geological Trail' and will see the other parts soon!

This is a beautiful and serene paddle. One challenging spot is the Little Hell's. Gate. Many smallislands and inlets to visit.
