I completed this loop over three days in July 2018. This was the most incredible and stunning trail I've ever been on. The views are beyond beautiful. The wildlife, the stars at night, the very nice tentsites -- I had the time of my life. Some of the climbs include some scrambling, which is a challenge with a heavy pack. This trail requires a high level of physical fitness -- the climbs and descents are steep. Loved every second -- I want to go back!

We (3 kids 10-13 and two adults) really enjoyed this walk, beautiful forrest & river views. Although we were walking in boots without snowshoes (only I had Yactracks) it was easy enough. there was a solid ice base with ~6" of snow. We appreciated the bridges and the fact that some of the trail had no snowmobiles (although the folks we encountered on the sled part of the trail were courteous). It was difficult to determine where to park, we parked by the locked gate behind Great Falls School, but I am guessing that it isn't an ideal parking spot if anyone were at the school.

I hiked to the falls solo with my dog mid- november. The hike was gorgeous and the falls unbelievable, leaving frozen icicles from the spray of the falls. It was pretty slippery, Yak Traks would have been helpful.

Gorgeous trail! It was cold and windy day but plenty of sunshine with picture perfect views of Cadillac Mountain along the way. Steep and icy rocks in places, I wore microspikes and would recommend them.

A LOT of steps, with a 9 year old it was challenging, but the 360 degree views were worth the effort. He was a trooper!!

Wide trails. But without a map it was hard to follow. Especially when people go off the main trail. Will do it again in the summer

Iconic hike. Must do! Go up Indian, it’s steep for .5 but offers the most amazing views. Climb the firetower to get a 360 degree view. Go down Bridle for an easier descent. Hard scrabble and carriage trail are amazing if you have a good amount of time. Hard scrabble can be challenging if it’s been wet. Hiked in all seasons.
