This map app does not show it but you evidently CAN park just off route 1 so you get the best of the water edge hiking

It's a nice walk in the woods if your looking for a stroll.. it's a side hill so its a good calf workout ..

Good trail!

Sweet trail, nicely maintained. Grateful to have a quick hike close to home. ***note ... there are two different trails near each other. The 1.8 mile out and back is the nice trail,. The 1 mike loop is not well traveled, lots of lumps , bumps and ticks!!!

well marked, nicely maintained trail with plenty of red squirrels, woodpeckers and other birds along the way. The water's edge location for a significant portion of the trail offers some nice views and sounds to complement the forest scenery.

Hats off to the town of Belfast for developing the rail track. We enjoyed an 8km morning walk while visiting for a couple of days.

Beautiful easy hike or bike along the river. This Rail Trail also connects to a shorter Harbor Walk trail which has excellent views while you walk right through Front Street Shipyard, an active shipyard.

this is an easy walk, very level. I don't consider it hiking. we are so fortunate to have these trails in our home town.

not the best. it's only 1.83 miles and no place to park! not a lake it's a swamp!

Beautiful hike. Easy For all! Would do again but bring our bikes next time as well.

Lots of ticks!! Other than that a great hike on a hot summer day. Your dog can be off leash and enjoy a swim along the way!

Nice viewz

love the rail trail

Very nice bog/Pond area in there. I think they're still building the trails.

Nothing special but pretty well marked and has a good little climb in it. Rocky in places.

Beautiful city walk rail trail, pea gravel base. The two trail heads are near the City Point train station and at the foot of Pierce St at the end of the foot bridge. Or you can park at the midway point at Upper Bridge and go either way.
