Super fun trail! 5 year old had no trouble. A few places we struggled to move out of the way for others due to narrow trailways. Almost no bugs, great views, would recommend!

This is a great hike: beautiful woods and beautiful water view. It’s a little strenuous in places but mainly easy. We saw a bald eagle down by the water. The whole hike was enchanting. Take the narrows around to the whiskeag trail for a good 2 mile loop. Finished in 45 minutes.

The loop we did was very nice and fairly low key.

The sign indicating that the trails begin across the road from the parking lot is partially hidden by vegetation and set back from the road. I briefly wandered through someone’s backyard because of that. When we finally got on the blue trail, we found it well maintained, easy, quiet and lovely. Benches are placed by the best look out points.

Took my toddler on this trail and it was beautiful. We had a blast. Highly recommend!

Nice nature hike. Great views at the end of Bald Head trail.

Great trails and lovely views! Most of the trails do loop around but some of them can be a bit confusing so be careful!

Chirping birds, croaking frogs, beautiful flowers and a well maintained trail. Very easy 2.4 miles.

An easy hike that felt mystical and magical. Walked it nearing dusk.

Bugs.

An easy trail with lovely view. However the trail marked on All Trails isn’t entirely accurate. Easy to get back on track but confusing. Definitely bring bug spray!

Quick trail, we hit up bald head on the way back and found that to be quite the gem!

Beautiful hike, great bird watching.

I went today with 3 kids 9, 5 and almost 4. It was such a great place for them....a wide variety of terrain (field, forest, bridges, wooden pathways) lots of cool fallen trees with big roots and rings to count. Then we got to the water and threw shells in and looked for jellyfish. There were a fair amount of people (May 24 2020) but not overly crowded and everyone was respectful of space. A perfect spring outing!

I really liked these trails and can’t wait to go back and try the others! The main trail down is stroller friendly and very easy and flat. I brought my almost 3 year old and we went down narrows trail and up the stone steps trail to the mushroom cap trail and then back down the overlook trail. I would suggest climbing up the Stone steps trail as it was extremely steep for my toddler, climbing down would have been terrifying lol.

This was a bit muddy in places. Solid trail though. Easy until the last leg, then it’s more moderate. The view at the end is spectacular and worth the length of the trail.

Decent trail. Quick. Lighthouse is pretty. It’s a bit muddy still.

Great trail! Very peaceful! Easy, short trails. Great for families (not suitable for strollers) and no dogs are allowed. Fun bridges to cross & gorgeous water views!

Good trail for families. Short trails. Nice water views.

Great trail. So much lush greenery and wildlife. Fun bridges to cross, water views and salty air...and NO bugs! Lots of roots - lift those feet!

4/27/2020: pretty wet and muddy today. Nice short hike to a cute lighthouse. Trail goes through the woods and by the water. Minimal elevation change.

Decent walk. The shoreline isn’t that accessible, only views through the trees. There is a nice rocky cliff covered in ferns in the southern part of the preserve on the Pintail trail.
