Simple hike, worked well for small dogs and would be good for kids too. Ends at a nice beach area of rocks and tide pools— these are very slippery, so use caution.

Decent walk to the shore through different environments. At low tide you can walk along the rocks on shore, but don't expect tide pools. Beware the mosquitos!

Lovely short hike. Roses were blooming everywhere. Lots of fun at low tide. Beware the mosquitos.

Beautiful trail with great views! This app says that the trail is closed but it was open when we arrived at 6 pm today!

Trail is open. Brand new staircase.

Short and nice trail to the shore. Good for toddlers especially at low tide where they can explore the tidal pool. Not really suitable for strollers, even if doable. There’s a bit of mosquitoes on the path but nothing unbearable.

The trail to the beautiful view is currently closed until Memorial Day. There is a path on the right of the lighthouse that is open, but the view is so close that it’s not pretty.

About 10 stalls at the trail head. Don’t forget your passion the dash. Trail is well marked. Lots of little social paths.

A great way to spend a few hours. Super-easy walk. Gorgeous views of the water.

Great views and a really nice hike. Awesome for the dogs, very enjoyable.

Short, but great place to take pictures!

Great views, easy hike in and back!

Beautiful view of the harbor and surround - very serene place to sit and enjoy the view!

Super short walk to descending staircase, quick walk over large granite rocks to an iconic view of one of the most photographed lighthouses on the east coast! Quick, awesome, great take away lighthouse photo!

Short, rocky, treacherous trail that leads to one of the most photogenic lighthouse in the USA. Go for sunset and bring bug spray!!!

Not much of a trail, but more of a short path to the rocks below a frequently photographed lighthouse. Getting a popular picture with your pretty mug amongst some beautiful rocks with a light house in the background is definitely worth the minimal effort.

two different paths. one very easy other one is moderate and rocky.

Very very short walk with steps to go down to the rocks.. To get a good view of the lighthouse you have to go all the way to the last rock.. I got pretty good pictures from there

Small trail with wildflowers and paved path takes you to the edge of the ocean.. Saw lots of birds, squirrels and a deer

Beautiful view.

Gorgeous views of a classic New England lighthouse. Easy, short hike with lots of rocky nooks and crannies to explore.

We combined Wonderland and Ship Harbor by climbing on the shore/rocks from one to the other. The trail is super easy (maybe even a bit boring) but the shore is super fun and beautiful. Especially with kids its a lot of fun.

This is a short access path to a rocky beach, not a hike. The beach area is great, not crowded. Lots of rocks to explore with no climbing required. We were there while the tide was out. Lots of tide pools and cool rocks exposed. Might not be as good during high tide. Tie this into a trip to Bass Harbor light house. you can easily spend an hour or so exploring the rocks in each place to make a nice easy afternoon outing.

Super easy walk. We were here about 2 hours before high tide and the tide pools had lots of fascinating things to see. Enough rocky coastline to walk down and get away from the crowds by the sandy part of the beach. Would love to bring our kids here next time.
