Great hike. Would like to see trailb a bit further away from the road because of the sound. But spectacular view makes this a Five Star hike for the average hiker.

Amazing view from the top

great hike. stunning views. not overly difficult. a must do if you are In town

Short ans fun hike with easy parking. It's not nearly as scary as people made it sound, the paths are plenty wide so there's really nothing to worry about.

Fun quick hike up. Really enjoyed the view enroute to the top. Remember the trail is a loop so you don’t have to descend from the cliff side.

Great hike for my wife to conquer her fear of heights. Great view from top.

on The Bowl Trail

Make sure you take the bowl trail all the way up to the beehive. It’s not as scary as the beehive trail but its still a challenge.

Great hike

NO DOGS. The app is possibly outdated, July 2018 there is a sign for no dogs. I have been coming up here and walking this trail for many years, and it is a nice trail taking you down to the water. Years ago we were able to see sunning seals. Nowadays you would need binoculars to see them if they’re out. This trip I was disappointed to arrive with my new dog, just to turn around and get back in the car.

We loved this trail. The view at the top was amazing!

This is a really beautiful and manageable cliff side hike in Acadia. We did it our last morning in the park around 8AM — it was pretty foggy but lovely views down to the rocks anyway. Some scrambling and some stairs but otherwise a pretty easy hike. We brought our dog and she loved it. No dogs allowed on the Sand Beach so instead you can park on Schooner Head Road and access the trail from there.

I did the hike to bubble rock which is a part of this trail. The trail was good exercise and at the end you could get close to bubble rock that seems to be teetering on the edge.

Very nice hike. Path includes a lot of rocks but is not that dangerous. Hiking shoes recommended. Great views at the top.

Easy walking trail around eagle lake

As one other said earlier... we took this thinking it would be a shortcut to the bus stop from the the North Ridge summit. Wow!! This was definitely challenging. Very vertical many times. I would of felt a lot safer with gear. Even though I felt accomplished after finishing it without sliding off the cliff... I would not recommend it for beginners, children or dogs. There really should be a warning sign with this trail.

We took the difficult descent unknowing that it was going to be a vertical climb with metal rungs. I’m deathly afraid of heights but trooped through. All in all I would definitely do it again despite the fear of heights.
Recommend the trail to the left for inexperienced hikers and those fearful of heights.

A nice, easy trail with a pretty view at the top.

Lots of nice scenery (and bumblebees!). I took a longer route to the beach around to the Precipice Trail (it's unfortunately closed every March thru November) and the Orange and Black Trail where I then completed the rest of the Champlain Trail. Would highly recommend this route to anyone that isn't afraid of heights.

Great trail but a little basic in my opinion

We did not hike the entire 24.5 miles, but this is as majestic a place as any.

This is an easy path with incredible views.

The agony lies between your adrenaline rush and the moment of the despair (especially when you accidentally looked down once), pretty scary I would say. Just be ready to use your muscles really wisely and coordinately to get yourself up when you are literally are surrounded with nothing but 2-3 iron handles in front of you.

Great view on the top!!! More of a mental game than a physical one! But worth it!!!

Absolutely amazing views! Make sure to bring lots of water and try to start on the earlier side. It's really sunny and hot during the summer time. Wouldn't suggest bringing kids on this trail.

Really fun trail. To be quite honest, there were a few parts that made me a little uneasy so if you’re truly afraid of heights or a newbie, I’d shy away from this one. The view is breathtaking though.

A wonderful hike which rewards you with excellent views at the top! Much of the trail is rock and slab... bring proper footwear. It’s a lot of gain over a short distance, but still, a moderate classification is appropriate I think. Also, there’s many flat spots on the way up to stop and rest, which also have amazing views. Biggest downfall is that once you get to the summit it is beyond crowded with people who drive up. Maybe it’s just me but it looses some of the majesty being surrounded by people who burned gas, not energy haha. There’s a spot about .1 miles before the summit that feels like it might be the top... perfect spot to grab some photos and enjoy your accomplishment away from touristy eyes.

awesome trail. a little tougher than I had expected...was surprised to see some little children on it...

Beautiful views. Just the right amount of challenges for a family hike. I agree with the moderate rating. Great hike if you like to take pictures!

This trail was fairly easy but has a beautiful view! You can take a nice refreshing dip in the bowl if you’re up to it, or relax and enjoy the view for a bit before continuing with your hike.

I absolutely loved this trail- going back for a second time shortly after because it was a lot of fun. Definitely need to watch your footing when climbing, with some parts being more difficult than others, but it’s worth it for the adrenaline rush and amazing views. The way up is pretty short in distance, and I chose to go down through the bowl trail rather than back down the beehive trail.
