Great trail but not for the faint of heart....but the view is amazing!

This is a great tail but I would not recommend doing it as shown. we were told that the precipice trail is not safe to descend so we turned around at the top of Champlain mountain. I would also not recommend going down the ladders portion of the Beehive trail. The trail is intended to be one way. It was fairly empty in November but when it's busier it would be a real challenge to go down with all the uphill hikers (not to mention really hard). Gorgeous views the entire time. It's challenging but reasonable. I highly recommend this.

Amazing spot for a sunrise! Though there are a lot of people.

I loved this hike. Very pretty and up close to the water in certain areas. Saw some pretty flowers, mushrooms, and birds. The terrain changes at several points which kept it interesting.

I personally love this hike! It was fun, not too long, and a fun challenge. It is steep and narrow in places, so be aware. The views at the top are stellar!

The trail itself is pretty cool, a lot of climbing up steel rungs. The day I went was incredibly busy, so climbing up Beehive felt like waiting in line for a theme park ride. I suggest going off season or during the week to try to avoid the crowds.

Easy carriage road trail - plenty of ducks in the ponds. Light snow flurries add a touch of magic. Nice rest from the rock scrambles elsewhere in Acadia.

When you park, look up. That’s what you’re about to climb. It is straight up and straight up a rock staircase. I’m in great shape and it was tough. Worth it when you get to the top, and did if you’re scared of heights like me, don’t look down.

Nice trail with lots of viewpoints.

Loved this trail! It was so much fun and a little scary at some points but nothing you can’t handle. This was me and my fiancé’s first ever hike and we were completely fine. It definitely gets a little precarious with scrambling and iron rungs at some points but worth it when you get to the top!!

Loved this trail, however a LOT harder/scarier than I had anticipated after doing Beehive the previous day. I did it in sneakers but would have been more enjoyable in hiking boots. There are a lot of ledges and iron rung ladders and scrambling. No matter how much i was freaking out while scaling the side of this mountain, the view at the top made it worth it!It was quite cold at the top after resting. The way down via Champlain North Ridge to Orange and Black to loop road was much easier and faster. Highly recommend if you can get over the whole potential of falling to your death thing!

Be advised this should be taken for experienced hikers on vertical cliff ascent as ladders from the rock are the main course with small ledges occasionally along the way. not good for persons with fear of heights. This trail does provide amazing views if you enjoy this type of ascent. Caution when wet as it gets slippery. You can take the orange/black route if you want to get the views from the top of champlain mountain without the vertical ladder climb to the top. I am giving it 4 stars only because I did have some issues with safety along the way. But I can say it was the most accomplished id felt in a long time after completing this hike!

Omg the ocean and the mountains all in one view. You can’t get this many places Sunny warm but not another person on the mountain but us 4 billy goats.

Pretty slick, wouldn't do in the rain. The Cadillac Cliffs trail was awsome coming back, but was bolder scrambling in some spots. Nice quick hike with some decent views of the coast. Plan for wet trails

What a great view

Very scenic walk along the water (I would not consider the coastal park a hike as you are just walking on crushed stone, but the views are worth I thought) going into the mountain you got to the moderate part of the hike. Enjoyable and fun. I mixed this hike in a day that I also did a more challenging one (Jordan Cliff), so it was nice to have a little break with awesome views! If you want to make it harder you can also do beehive as it is right at the start.

Great hike as far as challenging without being dangerous. Such a pretty view along the way up, I went at sunrise and got some really awesome shots. Once at the top of mount Dorr I took the crossover to cadalliac mountain and retuned down the gorge to my car. Definitely a fun hike with all types of scenery. Well marked, cant get lost!

An absolute must do hike when you are in the are. Takes only 1,5h to the top (even with a lot of picture breaks) amazing views and just an amazing trail in beautiful autumn colors. My absolute favorite! Some parts are rocky but not bad at all and still easy to hike on.

Very easy, not a hike, only a little walk with nice views I guess when the weather is nice..unfortunately I was not lucky enough as the mountain was the whole day in clouds.

I went the north Cadillac trail up and this one down. Next time I would do it the other way around. Very steep and high stones to descend, really slippery when wet and you have to go a littler which partly flooded the trail. Some nice views at the top but not as amazing as north Cadillac.
