Good hike and relatively easy! Watch out for rocks and tree roots. Many different paths to go on so pay attention to where you are going. Some are marked some aren’t.

Tried to look for some of the geocaches near the trail and was unable to find one single cache

Great for running! Gently rolling hills that are just enough to build endurance without making you feel like you’re dying. Few people, more during nice days either biking or running. Love it here with the lake right next to you

It’s funny I see many sAying the view isn’t that great. I think up by the mines is gorgeous.

Love that place. The mica mines are beautiful

Good woods trail- no real view. Nice length and pretty secluded- we only saw a few other people. I'd recommend hiking boots or high top sneakers. It might just be me being careless, but I rolled my ankles a couple of times on the exposed roots and rocks, and wish I'd done it in my boots instead.

There is no kiosk. There's a sign in a tiny park on Mill St but it seems the trail starts by the dam. Anyway, it's a nice oasis along the river hidden out of sight in the city. We saw a heron. Park just beyond the old mill leading to the dam

It's a pretty basic trail with little "scenic" value. The trailhead was easy to find and trail was well maintained. It provided a nice workout, but there were a lot of branch off trails that would make it easy to get turned around or sent off trail. Even with exceptional bug spray the bugs were relentless!

It's a nice little hike. Nearby to home. Nice, clean, quiet spot.

trail needs to be marked better, easy to get yourself turned around snowshoeing if you are not on the snowmobile trail.

Fun walk thru the woods - not too rigorous.

Bring good shoes can be slippery with the leaves, mud and hill. Found some cool smokey quartz chunks at the dump spot.. never made it to the actual quarry. Beautiful trail... The military trucks are cool to walk by on the way to the trail

Hike was great! Beautiful area close to home. Trails could be better marked off ... if I did not have use of my all trails app, my family and I would have been lost roaming in circles. Easy fix for that tho, now that I have been there. :)

Great trails! Great area for dogs. We see people mining the quarries. Earth cache was great educational experience. Nice Maine hike for out of state visitors.

Best place to start the loop is at the end of Small Road. The Blue Trail is a 3.5 mile loop trail that takes you over the summit although there are no views from the top. Easy trail great for dogs. It's free and a lot of people dig for special stones and gems . Great for photography. Lots of geocaches here.
