Very runnable and very well marked. Rooty but Not terribly technical. Nice wide trails and well maintained. I followed only yellow blazes for 4.75 miles out and back. I wanted to keep going but was limited on time. Not too much elevation on my route, although hilly enough to slow you down a bit. Loved it and will be back!!

Great day. Trail is in hood condition despite recent rain. Campground closed due to government shutdown.

very neat trail, be sure to wear proper footwear

Good trail here. I'm not sure why this is rated easy when 9 miles of the trail is Kincaid Loop which is rated moderate. The correct path is Wild Azalea -> Lamotte Trail -> Kincaid Loop. I'm not sure what Lamotte is rated but I would guess it's probably moderate. All in all, you complete Lamotte Trail (twice) and fully complete Kincaid Loop. Kincaid Loop is where it got tough for us. We did 10 miles one day, camped, and then hiked out the next day. Good test for myself and my brother, both beginner hikers.

spend a few hours walking the trail on this rainy day. trail is beautiful this time of year!

hiked part of the trail I loved every step of it I have hiked in chicot state park and the trail is a million times better than chicot state park I would recommend this trail to anyone wanting a good endurance hike I will be back to finish it and camp as well I found a lot of water sources so all you need is a filter get to hike and remember to hike your own hike!!!

Easy trail, well marked with blue diamond shaped trail markers. Great view of Kincaid Lake

Nice out and back trail with good opportunities for birdwatching, foraging, and camping. At points the road joins the trail causing a bit more trash to show up, but overall very accessible, peaceful, and well-maintained.

Nice easy hike. Came on the off season so it was extremely quiet! Definitely coming back for more.

Beautiful trail, but be prepared for a hilly hike. We have been hiking about 13 mikes at other trails and having no problems and then tried this trail today and saw a big difference on our endurance level. Much slower pace due to the up and down path. Will hike this trail again for the scenery and physical challenge.

Fantastic trail with great views. Good for backpacking and camping off on your own, or day hiking.

Lots of elevation changes, but not too tough. You share the trail with mountain bikers, but I haven't had any problems with it. I simply step aside.

Very peaceful in the off season (Jan, Feb) I've not gone any other time.

Did it one day. Nice hike with a lot of changes in elevation. Kinda a rollercoaster. Also a ton of blind curves and short sight lines. Hikers stay alert. I had 6 mountain bikes come up on me really fast. Would not recommend earphones.

Bikers, put a bell or something that makes noise on your bikes, please.

The beginning of the trail was not well marked. However, the rest of the trail was well marked and easily followed. The trail goes around Kinkaid Lake with very nice views of the Lake. Part of the trail passes through a camping area that is available on the Lake. The camping area is pleasant and comfortable. The trail also can connect to the rest of the Wild Azalea Trail for a longer hike if desired.
