The blowhole is amazing when the tide is up. The mile trail from mile marker 38 is great. As you get close to the shore you feel like you’re on another planet. Don’t miss doing this trail. Wear good shoes.

We took the fur kid on a little “camping” adventure. We found a cute little place w a tiny homes. This seems like a nice place to take Max. He can b a bit skittish and the reviews said that not too many people used it. We like taking him places he can go off leash! The first 100 ft or so we weren’t sure where the path was. But we finally saw the pink trail markers on the trees. Initially is was a bit confusing, it didn’t look like the trails were used very much. But then it became easier to see. It was a little chilly and the canopy was thick so there wasn’t much sun, but I’m sure when the weather is hot the shade would b nice!! There was some moving water, which we prefer for Max if he needs to take a drink, so it isn’t stagnant. We came across a bridge w a pretty view. After the bridge the it became more steep, we weren’t in the mood to go overboard so we decided to turn back. It was a nice quiet walk. So if you’re looking for somewhere where u don’t feel like running into a lot of people, just want to b 1 w nature, or u have a dog that is part chicken this is a good place to bring them!!

Fun place to ride, there are marked trails throughout the area.

Great hike! Plenty of good views and not too difficult. We didn’t see any, but watch for bears and moose as they are active in the area!

Absolutely breathtaking. Will go again

I would rate this hike 5 stars, however; I could not find the 2nd half of the trail. Ended up climbing down a rock cliff only to find that it dead ended at the beach. Had to backtrack and take another route to get back to the parking lot. Other than that, it was a great hike. Fairly easy, well maintained trails, gorgeous views and abundant wildlife.

Nice hike, but the trails are not marked clearly.

Wow, this hike was amazing and made us appreciate the sunrise view with a different perspective. First, to avoid sunrise people start the trail earlier; there is a lower over look lower than popular sunrise view but still breath taking about 200 yards into the trail (flash light needed).
Took us a total 6.5 hours, 15.4 miles, with pictures and the "unmapped" Ka Lu'u o ka Oo crater trail that is mapped on all trails. You will see breathe taking views and all types of sands. We felt like we were on Mars then in Africa but still in Maui.
Definitely suggest heading north first to Halali'i because walking back looking at the summit and the 4 craters is gorgeous.

Finally, a big FYI is that they have a "hiker pick up area" at Halemau'u trail head, that cars heading to the summit will, hopefully, pick you up. To avoid the tough hike back up to the summit via Keonehe'ehe'e trail (sliding sands).

I love coming here. The views change with the weather, and many different types of areas. No dogs, no bikes.

I've done this hike several times. Easy enough for everyone, but still a fun accomplishment. Beautiful view, woods, lake, and wildflowers. That view of Mother Hood is to die for

Love this place, beat dog beach.

Nice easy hike to do with kids, just watch out for mountain bikers cause they come around the corners fast!

can extend this trail to many other loops and connector trails. less trafficked area of unionmills/hashawa

amazing moderate hike with spectacular views of cliffs and narrows. The sculpted sandstone formations are breathtaking.

Just did this trail Oct 14 and really enjoyed it! I loved the scenery, there's some creek side walking, which to still have some water this time of year is great. The elevation gain in minimal, so taking kids is no problem and plenty for them to explore. At the first camp, the creek is right there with a nice little waterhole. I'm sure in the late Spring/ early Summer the water is really great to dip into, even now it reached the knees, just enough to cool off. There are certain spots where the trail gets washed out, but as long as you keep walking parallel to the creek you're good, it would actually be hard to get lost. Of course the Thomas Fire came through the area, but it's regrowth is amazing to see and you can imagine what it once looked like. Towards the 2+ mile area, there is less shaded area, so plan accordingly.

hiked it with a bunch of teenagers. A great trail to take beginners and those who normally struggle with hiking

Wide path, rocky in spots, steady uphill. Closer to moderate especially last 1/4 mile. Great view payoffs at Chicken Point. Fairly steady traffic.

We did this hike after climbing Cathedral Rock. Lots of trees, nice path, beautiful river and beautiful views along the way.
We weren't really sure where we were going initially but the trails are well marked and of course All Trails helped too

Lovely little walk to the landscape arch. This is also the trailhead for devil's garden primitive loop. This section is super accessible to anyone with a few slopes. Work the walk.

Short and sweet. It’s an easy little walk around the lake. 2 mule loop.

No pets aloud! Looked nice from afar but didnt get to actually enjoy it. Stroller friendly. GPS took me to other side of lake instead of Lake Scranton Pl.

west Texas scrubbery with scenic lake views

Not closed!
Not easy, wear real shoes not “slippas”

100% worth it
Wear mosquito repellent or bring someone the mosquitos like more than you!

Good little hike for anyone. I recommend doing this hike before angels landing as this is nothing in comparison.

Great running path. goes further on bike:run trail outside loop

We stayed the night in Cedar City after visiting Bryce and Zion. This is the PERFECT hike to end the weekend before heading back to Vegas to fly out. This is a pretty easy hike. There are no markings but you can easily follow the trail. The water follows the trail most of the way so if it’s a fresh rain it may be pretty muddy. Fitbit said we did 4.93 in 3:49 with numerous stops.

Easy and relaxing trail. We got aromatherapy of sweet grasses and orange flowering bushes. Gorgeous views of the canyon at the end of the trail. The day was perfect for hiking: sunny but breezy and not hot.

Great trail for sunset but don't wait to late to do the full loop it gets dark fast and it's a rocky trail. Take a headlamp for extra caution.

Great for taking a family to see some sights you normally don’t get to experience. The man made walkway travels over the falls. Prepare to get some spray.
