Beautiful arch and also if you go up some more there is a small cliff, a little dangerous for kids as there is no rails on that cliff. It is less than a mile walk and not bad at all.

No words for this trail. Had an amazing time.

A fantastic, family friendly short trail for first timers with a decent pay off at the end. The views around the arch are awesome, be careful on top of the arch, it is a bit slanted to the side

This fantastic trail offers amazing views and interesting views of rock formations, I can wait to go back after the leaves change colors. Saw the biggest rattle snake I have ever seen after climbing up a set of rock stairs, at least 5 feet long. I would not recommend children under 8 on this trail as it gets very narrow with massive drop offs toward the end.

The hike out was pretty and easy until we reached the turn off point for the unmarked trail to Hanson’s point. The trail was narrow and somewhat over grown. But the reward at Hanson’s point was beautiful.

Had a great family backpacking trip on this trail. Side trail to Hanson’s Point is very narrow and low overhead brush. No nearby water source, so make sure you pack enough in especially if staying overnight. I recommend doing it at least once.

Really enjoyed this one! Nice views and scenery changes and definitely a good leg workout!

This was an easy trail for this area. While there was some elevation change, it wasn't drastic. The trail lead up to a climbing area of nice rock formations, but there aren't any breathtaking vistas along the way.

Great Trail, easy to follow, beautiful ridge

The rest of the reviews are true. The view is stellar! The only downside is that it is very hard to find without GPS. There are several side trails which lead to nowhere. If you’re looking for a good camp spot, there are many options along the way! Whether you have a hammock or are a ground dweller (tent), I counted approximately 4 large clearings with fire pits and log seats for large groups. Couldn’t recommend this trail enough! Definitely worth the trek!!! Do not miss this.

I tried hiking this trail last Saturday morning. A tree had fallen across the road so I wasn’t able to access the parking lot. Tried hiking later in the day and between the sun, heat and me being tired of hiking multiple other trails. I was unable to complete. Will try again another time.

Love this trail. Not a lot of up and down hills. Not to hard if you have someone a little out of shape with you. Beautiful views.

Fun beginner trail. First half flat and manicured. Hill was steep but paved. Over all fun, quiet and scenic. Not the level we hoped but very nice short day hike. Took 2.5-3 hrs. Great for kids

beautiful views, going back to do the loop.

Beautiful views. Apparently it’s a pretty popular trail. Several people there by the time I arrived at 9:30 a.m. and the parking lot was full by 12:30 p.m. when I was leaving on a Friday. I would rate it as moderate. I didn’t make it to Courthouse because the dog was nervous about the stairs, would like to go back and do the loop.

Be prepared for a lot of switchbacks!

Really good hike. Great views.

One of the most beautiful trails. The end of the trail is breath taking. Not very hard trail. Just look out for lizards and snakes.

Really fun climbing the arch

A must if you are hiking the Red River Gorge for the first time. Unbelievable views and good distance if you do the loop.

Three of us hiked in on the Double arch side, descended to the creek between Double arch and Courthouse rock. We found a campsite well off of the trail and stayed 2 nights, making short day hikes as we wanted - In June 2017 (=hot weather) But the creekside campsite was cool enough and the bugs were not bad.....worth it!

This was a fun little hike with great views of the gorge. The hike itself isn't particularly difficult, however once you get on the actual trail to Hanson's Point from Pinch-em Tight the foliage does get a bit overwhelming. The trail is very obvious, but it feels like you are crouch-walking through a cocoon of pine trees. Wear long sleeves to avoid scratches on your arms. Hanson's Point is unique in that you get a clear view of Halfmoon, Chimney Top, and Cloudsplitter. It is definitely worth checking out!

My favorite trail. Hiked about a dozen times, each as rewarding as the last. The views are absolutely tremendous for how little activity it takes to get there. Simply wonderful

Gorgeous hike will plenty of ridge views and river crossings. It’s a challenging one though. Quite a few climbs and descents. It’s easy to lose the trail in a few areas. I hope to do it again when I’m in better shape. :)
