Loved this trail. The views on the ridge were beautiful! Lots of people at the arch though.

A beautiful trail! The arch was stunning. Pretty muddy in some areas right now. Not too bad of a hike intensity wise.

Not a bad trail! It was my first time hiking in about a year, and it was a good challenge for someone who hasn’t been too physically active in the past few months. Make sure you wear the proper shoes, because it can get really muddy!

We only did the arch and back...it was raining and muddy. The arch was nice and there was a little waterfall.

Great views & the arch is very cool. Nice waterfall when we were there. (5/22/20). This trail reopened today.

Anyone know if this trial is or will be open this weekend 5/22/20?

The road to the trailhead was completely closed because of COVID-19 so we were unable to hike. Too bad, it sounds like a great trail. The sign said the closure started at the end of March and will continue indefinitely.

Easy and beautiful views!

Childhood favorite! Great trail!

So I didn’t do this trail yet, but the parking lot that the directions take you to is closed... I suppose you could make find a parking spot somewhere along the road nearby, though

Really good trail! Went clockwise and was pretty moderate! A lot more people out than expected due to people wanting to get outside though. My Aussie loved it and had no issue doing any of it!

Great trail. Be advised though, park rangers were out ticketing any cars parked along tunnel ridge road. Also be advised that as of Sunday the Auxier Ridge area was still closed down due to a fire that occurred earlier. Aside from those things, Gray’s Arch was a lovely, short hike

Great Trail during our lockdown/social distancing vacay. Going counter clockwise was a good choice as it gave anticipation to Gray’s Arch! There were beautiful formations we hadn’t seen anywhere else before. A bit muddy in areas. Our boys ages 10-15 did fantastic.

Pretty muddy. But waterfalls were beautiful. Great for lessons for the kids.

Different scenery along trail — some parts were rocky/sandy, others were heavily wooded and shady. There was one section that gave a whimsical vibe because of the tree roots and rocks; they spiraled together. The arch itself was gorgeous. Be mindful when wet as it can be slippery.

A great hike to experience the natural bridge. Will take this way from now on.

Awesome trail with plenty of scenic views. Took a different route (by accident AND on purpose, very easy to do in this area). Made it to the top of Natural Bridge for sunrise and it was awesome. Quite muddy in some places but people have made parallel routes through the woods that bypass some of the mud.

We did the longer version of this: pinch ‘em Tight to Rough to the Grays Arch parking lot. It was a great hike. Part of the spur to the Arch was icy, but if you were careful it was doable. We used this as an equipment shakedown for a trip later this summer so carried loaded packs the whole way. Views were great! Stream crossings were fine, a footbridge over one and flat rocks over the others. Trail was a bit muddy at times. You can do backcountry camping here, but due to the size of our group we stayed at Koomer campground instead.

Really fun trail. You get to see the arch, there’s three stream crossings, and several off chutes to overlooks. Watch for falling ice at the arch, also some slippery spots at the arch. The trail was muddy in spots.
