This was our last stop after packing up the campsite before heading back home. The thick vegetation and rock formation literally made it feel like we were hiking back in time. Very prehistoric looking. Creation falls was gorgeous. Lots of people we wading in the water. We dd see some snakes down by the water so keep an eye out. The arch was one of the prettiest I've seen. But all and all it was an easy and fun hike! There is a picnic area at the top of the trail head with drills and picnic tables also! You could definitely make a whole day out of this area depending on how long you play around the waterfall and pool at the bottom.

We did this trail with our children aged 3, 6 and 9. They did great and loved it. The waterfall is gorgeous and the splash pool and creek were very to nice to wade in. Gorgeous foliage.

Busy trail but good for early mornings and to connect to Swift Camp Creek

It’s a 1.5 mile loop. Very family friendly. It’s pretty easy; I’m out of shape, but I survived well and would do it again. We did find that if you enter the trail and come back out from the entrances by the bathrooms, it is easier. The other entrance to the trail has a lot of steps. We started there, and looked around and did fine. But probably would have avoided the steps because of my youngest son, had we known. We had a 3 and a 4.5 year old with us, and they did amazing. Perfect kid friendly hike! All in all, great trail and beautiful scenery!

Easy hike down which was perfect for our three year old. We went after a day of heavy rain so we expected to see a waterfall, but there was not a waterfall at the end of this trail. Just rocks with a few drips of water coming off of them. Pretty disappointing.

nice family hike. stairs at beginnig could be slick. paved gravel top most of the way

Great little hike with our puppy. He loved splashing around in the shallow pool at the base of the falls.

This was a really great hike! My family loved it, and my 82 year old grandma was even able to make the trek because of how well maintained it is! In parts when the downhill or uphill is steep, stairs are carved out of rocks to make it more accessible to everyone. Definitely recommend!

Trail was easy to follow and very scenic. GO EARLY to beat the crowd. The rock bridge and creation falls are beautiful!

A MUST see trail when hiking the gorge! We took our dog with us on this easy trail. The trail takes you to this beautiful waterfall and swimming hole and our dog loved every second of it! This is the perfect place to take your kids, just make sure to pack a lunch and some swimsuits because you will want to stay and relax for a while!

I highly recommend this trail. It's a nice trail for an afternoon hike after a long day at work! The falls are gorgeous!

Lovely trail with a little bit of everything - beautiful subtropical, mountainside foliage, cardio elevation, rock walls, a cave, an arch, a river, a creek, and a the crown jewel, a waterfall. If you are a photog and want to get pics, don’t come on a weekend. My first visit was on a warm, Sunday, Spring afternoon and it was like Disneyland. If you prefer solitude or want to get pictures, then weekdays, early are good for you. Falls look great after some rain, and the splash pool is a great place to cool off. Nice picnic area and family friendly. My only complaint is the limited parking.

Nice hike with waterfall and creek that the dogs loved.

The hike down is fun and the arch is more of a cave than anything. The hike back was pretty exhausting, be ready to sweat a bit on this one.

Easy hike. Make sure to dip your toes in the falls.

Great evening loop very easy to jog or hike

Love the trail. Something about this trail makes it so peaceful.

A simple fun hike that takes into the gorge along the creek. Parts of the trail are paved which makes the trail even easier than it already is.

This easy hike takes you to Creation Falls and Rock Bridge Arch. This was my son’s first experience of Red River Gorge. At 4 years old he said “ Daddy, this is much better than Bernstein Forest”. I will say parking at this trail head is a nightmare.

We did an out and back to the arch as it was getting dark. Pleasant trail fairly level until the stairs to the arch. Will go back and complete the loop at another time.

Beautiful trail with some awesome creek access.

Loved the waterfall, fall colors. 10 Nov 17

Great hike on a beautiful afternoon then lunch at Skybridge Restaurant. Great place to sit and visit and good food too!

Love this hike. Took my 4 yr old at the time and he loved the falls and the creek area so much! For a pregnant wife and 4 year old the trail is def moderate but take your time and it is so much fun. Went during a drizzle and there was enough tree cover that we didn't get too wet... you know.. before we played in the water. Will do again!

fun hike with young boys today. Beautiful falls and creek.

Great hike!!

Some beautiful sites and great places to spend some time resting in nature. We had 2 of our 3 young kids and started counter clockwise going in from the end of the trail. Much better way to go with small kids. Lots of steps on both sides.

go counter clockwise w small ones. :)
