The overlook at the river is beautiful, The rest of the trail is dull and you never get out of earshot of the road noise. It says this is a good spot to see eagles, no luck for us today though.

Very grown up in the summer

Great easy hike

short but enjoyed relaxing around pond

Great hike for a day when the humidity kept us from doing a more strenuous hike. It's just "wild" enough that my 7yo hiking buddy felt that he was lost in the woods.

Next time I hike here, I'm going to bring a bag to pick up garbage. There wasn't a lot, but any is more than I'm used to seeing on Mammoth Cave trails.

This is a decent, short trail that was great for a short walk with our son. Wear plenty of bug screen!

Short loop trail that seemed longer than .5 miles. Interesting rock formations.

Short loop trail. Do it at dawn or dusk for a frog serinade.

Short hike with a beautiful view of the Green River.

Wonderful trail if you're looking for something that is completely handicap accessible. We took our dog out and walked around it several times after finding a longer trail we wanted to do was closed.

Good trail, some hills ether way you go, several road crossings, grave yards and historic places along the way crushed stone trail would not suggest smooth tread tires loose in spots.

This is a good Rails to Trail you can park at ether end and ride to the other or out and back I think riding to Mammoth Cave way is harder but it has up hills both ways it isw crushed stone kind of loose in spots two old grave yards on the way a pond with a board walk all the way around it, and some historic places, I have rode it 2 times and not met more then 2 or 3 people both times.

It was a very short trail but nice, it took about 10 minutes to walk around and when I got back my car had been broken into. Turns out alot of people have had the same fate. So just becareful.

There is more to Mammoth Cave than the cave itself! This hike is a beautiful walk in the forest - I've done it many times.

Nice way to enter the trail system around the Mammoth Cave NP Visitor Center. It takes you down to a pretty view of the Green River and the River Styx Spring. It also passes the Historic cave entrance.

Nice boardwalk loop around a pretty pond right off the main park road.

the trails were well identified the scenery was absolutely spectacular

This is a lovely area where you can even put up a hammock right up the hill from the cave entrance. You can feel the breeze and listen to the water fall. Lovely!

Fun, short hike. Very pretty in winter. The trail system at Mammoth Cave is lovely.

My husband and I went on New Years Day 2016. It was lovely even in winter and you can really see the nice views with the leaves off the trees. I want to return in the spring and see the wild flowers in bloom.

Trail is elevatedabout forest on a boardwalk. Wheel chair aaccessible so everything can enjoy the scenery. Incredible views in the fall.

really nice to do- just 15 minutes from the Visitor Center- has some views of the Green River and just off the river, along the banks of one of its tributaries, are stands of huge sycamores, about 15 feet in circumference. (see photos)

Starting from the trailhead it's a long descent through lush green woods over many wooden bridges and walkways. Gorgeous scenery. Near the end you should see the spring coming out from an underground cave and also see the River Styx. You can loop back a different way up a paved road which takes you by the main cave entrance where, after a humid uphill climb, you can stand over the cave entrance and cool off from its natural air conditioning! We saw deer along the way.

Short, pleasant hike that connects with other short trails. Up and down. Take a map.
