Enjoyable hike with some challenging ascents. Shaded all the way. Tree down about 1.5 miles into the loop (CCW) that is tough to navigate. Approach with care!

Really enjoyed this trail. The different terrain kept it interesting. A nice and short moderate!

Beautiful trail! We saw a momma deer and her two babies and if was shaded and fairly easy to navigate. No dogs signs are posted. Great family trail.

Good solid day hike trail. I recommend using breathable pants due to the overgrown grass.

Path is well maintained with small gravel. Great shade for the most part. I rate easy because it’s mostly flat. Good walk if close to home.

My partner and I loved this trail! It can get intense at times but the views through the forest make it manageable. I plan to do this one again soon

The appeal of hiking this trail is that is more secluded than any other trail. This claim held up as we only saw two other groups in the mile and a half long trail. We didn’t see many animals, however, we did see several cardinals and some squirrels. I would recommend this trail as a great hike as well as a great place to stop and reflect in the quietness.

Was disappointed. Waterfall was hard to get a view with cliffs.

Great trail, mostly concrete. Dog friendly. Tons of cyclists, but everyone shared the trail.

Beautiful, varied, and well-marked. Probably the most challenging hike I've found in the Louisville area, with lots of sections to get your heart thumping and also downhills where you need to watch your footing. I would not want to go after a rain.

It’s a nice through hike from the welcome center to another section of the park. Lots of ups and downs. Well maintained. Overall good hike.

This is a suburban park with more of a nature trail around the lake. Very easy walk with no hills and several shady parts. My friend and I did not feel unsafe at all. There was just one spot where you have to take a big step from one rock to another to cross. There is a divide between them and it looks like water flows between them if it’s been raining so small kids may have difficulty making that big of a step.

Park was packed and not much peace and quiet that I associate with hiking. This is more of a park trail than a hike. There is a really cool creek past the spillway!

Off trail

Do not trust this app to stay on the trail. HORRIBLY misleading and the GPS was WAY off. you need to fix this All Trails.

Okay trail for walking the dog, pretty dirty. Others on the trail were nice. The lake is not one I would let my dog swim in. Signs saying there is sewage contamination with recent rainfall. Scenery is pretty.

No joke of a trail that’s for sure! Nice though but not much in the way of views.

Great paved trail. Pretty area. Well kept. Nature preserve isn’t that impressive but still a nice walk. Will go again very soon!

Wonderful! The reviews are accurate about the first hill being intense—after that, it levels off a bit but stays consistently changing so it’s never boring. A lot of little streams that are beautiful, and only a few declines that are “tough” (but still doable). I wouldn’t suggest taking little children just because of how steep it can get and how narrow the path is (definitely a lot of areas that are One Person Only).
