Beautiful trail to hike. My dog and I had no problem navigating the trail. We saw lots of wildlife: deer, birds, chipmunk, squirrels. We only encountered a few bikers, to whom we yielded to. There was lots of varied terrain and the views of the river were lovely.

Great short marked trail. Will have to go back in the fall to see more.

Great place to wander around and enjoy the peace and quiet!

I enjoyed Buckley.., it was 94 today so I chose an easy trail. The trails were clearly marked . Take a pic of the map at the entrance. It’s all color coded. I was there several hours and saw no one. I did get a pic of my first deer. The place has a pavilion with clean rest rooms for family gatherings. I did all the trails. My favorite trail was the blue one.

Fairly nice trail, we had the dogs with us and the little dog was being a bit of a pain. We plan to go back soon, maybe tomorrow. Nice, mostly shady trails, waterfalls and more. Several other trails in the park, especially if you start at the top lot. One complaint, there was no toilet paper or soap in the restroom.

We almost didn't get to hike this trail (which is located inside Cove Springs Park) since the official hours of the park are sunset to sunrise, but we arrived at 7:30, and the park still wasn't open. However, we first did some hiking across the street (about a mile loop), which is still part of of the park, but outside the main area, and then visited the main entrance again, and it was open. So the hours may be a little unpredictable. Once we arrived, though, we hiked the Holly and Osage Loop and thought this was a great hiking experience. There was enough elevation to make the hike a workout, but nothing to make it exhausting. There was lots of wildlife (deer, raccoons, turkeys, insects) throughout, and lots of different terrain as well. Better yet, this park is literally just outside Frankfort, so if you are staying in Frankfort, you can probably get here in 10 minutes or less.

we had so much fun. you get quite a bit of different terain. which makes it not boring. not to mention the views and trails kinda remind you of jungles :) a good view of the capital.

We all loved it. An easy access spot with lots of hikers to make you feel not so isolated. Kids loved the water and the nicely blazed trails. One section with steep hills and rocky path but was easy even for my 9 year old.

Very pretty park. Trail is shady and well maintained. The kids really enjoyed finding all the interesting spots along the way.

Nice if you live near by for a quick hike. Not enough to make a day of it.

w/Lindsay, Logan, Toby, Autumn, Lincoln and Lucas. Waterfalls, streams a snake and some fun.

Soggy but good! North end is a pretty quick incline, south end is paved so you can decide whether you want to ease into it or get the hard part out of the way.

Awesome trail for a quick hike close to Frankfort!

Went over lunch time while at a seminar just to get my nature fix. Very rocky in spots but trail goes well into the woods even though it’s a hop and a skip from busy roads. Waterfalls, creek views, easy paved trail in open field or tougher climbs in the woods. Nice getaway close to town.

nice quick hike

Trail had been closed for several months. It still is in ruff shape. At pond, I want counterclockwise. Heading up the second ridge, you could not tell where the trail was. I knew because I’d hiked this trial a couple 100 times. One could easily go up the ridge and end up 50 yards off trail. Some many ruts and washout spots exposing roots that to look around you have to stop. Constantly looking down at foot placement.

A walk in the woods. No overlooks. Just trees and an occasional rock fence. If you simply must get away from concrete and blacktop, this will do. Certainly nothing to write home about!

Nice easy hike. A bit muddy. Main falls are at carpark, but there are streams along the hike creating a lovely gurgling background sound.

Great little local trail. Mid-March and not muddy at all and no ticks...yet. Thanks to Rodney Ratliff and Dr. Patrick for donating this wonderful piece of land. Trail is moderate/easy with a little elevation change

Should be marked as easy but very pretty.

This was a great trail. It was muddy but only because of the recent rain the are has received. I was unaware there were two other trails that connected to this one in which this app didn’t retrieve so it was a jacket surprise. There are a few more smaller waterfalls which was also unexpected. It was an easy hike and recommend it.

It was a good hike in a good area, really muddy when we went.

A good place to "walk it off" if everything else in the area is too muddy. Great view of Buffalo Trace Distillery and North Frankfort. Attractive landscaping within the loop. Also a good starting point to do begin other hikes within Cove Spring Park via the Osage Trail.

Enjoyed this hike. Lots of beauty walking along the creek, waterfalls around and fun things to look at and enjoy. Not a hard hike - a bit of a climb at times but not bad.
