We entered at the 13.5 mile marker after parking at the canoe rental place (we called to ask permission first). The first 2 miles were clear and marked. The next 2 miles were over grown. Then, our final 2 miles of trail were seemingly untouched. Many missing/down trail markers and freshly fallen leaves made the trail completely disappear at times. We camped the night and walked back from our farthest point. We had fun, but it's a pretty boring hike with a slight chance of getting lost.

Our dogs loved it. There were many swimming spots that our Chocolate Lab and Chi-weeny could cool off. Beautiful sights.

Upper trail above Lily Pond. Can be entered from the road side and there is a sign saying Possum Trot trail. I will way point it. Very enjoyable for new horse or young horse, also does. It is single file mostly but cleared. The trees sometime dome over the trail like a Cathedral, very pretty in the summer and cool. This is what I would rate a shady trail for most of the ride. Only reason not a 5 star is I like more water crossings and this is creeks mostly running dry. So this trail connects to the Pennyrile Pond trail that I have here on all trails. As always happy to talk to anyone who needs more details. 270-970-4007 or email suzdoer@me.com.

Trails seems as though they hasn't been maintained in awhile, down trees over biking path and overgrown vegetation slapping you in the face as I was going down the trails.

Great trail! The dogs loved it, there were a few good spots for them to swim. Trail is a little rocky in places but overall was fine. the last part of the trail was a little confusing because you end up on one of the cabin roads, cross a dam, and then walk behind the little hotel here but it was easy enough to figure out.

Great dog friendly trail. Got a little off track towards the end though. Trails a little rocky and currently a little muddy. Didn't find the waterfall so that was a bummer as well.

Great views, lots of waterfowl, slightly moderate to easy, my dog absolutely loved it, not good for summer due to ticks. there are loop trails on east and west side of lake i would highly recommend using just to stay in forest more.

Son and I hiked a section between no outlet road south to Clifty shores rd, approx 6 miles loved it. only problem was at between 8 and 7 mile marker there was a 4 wheeler trail in there and a lot of litter,( pack it in then pack it out, Right?) no trail markers on the section where 4 wheelers were. all in all good hike. Ky. is definately not a place to hike in warm weather ,due to bugs.

Did CANE TRAIL 1.3 mile hike beside LAKE TRAIL behind lodge. Add lake trail 1.8 extra miles moderately difficult combined trails equals really good workout. Moderately steep ascent 2 or 3 times Nice forest hike!!

Love this trail, gorgeous views for this area.

Started from the Lodge on the Indian Bluffs Trail then continued on the PNT. Hiked 5 miles in and 5 miles back out. Very nice. No ticks or spiders this early in the year but I would not hike it in the summer. I saw Pileated Woodpeckers an Eastern Towhee and several wildflowers.

Did this years ago, was okay
