The walk around the lodge area is pretty nice, albeit very short. The wilderness trail was ok. It's pretty well maintained and marked, so the trail is very easy to follow. It is not very scenic though. The woods open up some at a few points on the trail and there are a couple of minor hills. It wasn't all negative though, because we didn't run into anyone at all. We had a nice enough time. If you're up in the area, it's worth the hike, but I wouldn't go out of the way for it.
There really isn't much to this trail. It's pretty short, but worth the walk, just for the view from the dock out on Honker Lake. The vegetation has taken over there, so there are all kinds of lily pads. In the summer, I'd say bring lots of bug spray. We were infested with seed ticks by the end of the trail. Outside of that, it wasn't a bad trail.
I'm not sure who put this place as a mountain bike trail, but it is not. I'm not even sure it is safe to do so. It is primarily used for four wheelers, dirt bikes, and jeeps. I'm pretty sure there isn't any single-track there at all. Just keep that in mind if you're thinking of going here to do some biking.
