Nice trail but the bridge is still closed. There is no other detour across the creek. Reversed the loop to get back to the trailhead. No big deal as the trail is easy, pleasant.

Great to walk, tough to bike bc of gravel

Easy short walk and great views. You have to drive 5 miles on a bumpy gravel road to get to the trailhead. See princess arch while you’re here too.

Great trail for kids, the elderly and for handicapped people.

Nice walking trail.it was longer because the Bridge is closed. Shady which was nice. Creek was pretty dry I’m sure when it’s flowing it’s a lovely way to spend some time. Not strenuous for sure.

Very nice and easy trail good for kids. it has nice features to exlplore

This was a very nice a pretty trail it is paved all the way. there are places that are maked by the no trepassing that are posted by the US government so do not go off the trail. but it was a very peaceful walk for me and my dog both.

Semi-tame deer are often found in the area.

We accessed this one from the Echo River trail. It's a connector trail and it's easy just like all the rest.

It’s a nice, paved walking path with plenty of trees and natural sounds. If you live in the Lexington area and are in need of a quick escape from all of its bustle, this place is a perfect fit. It’s also very child friendly. My kids loved the turtle ponds!

Nice paved trail. With stream coming off the cliffs. Will definitely be coming back.

A super quick hike to the viewpoint, terrific view of the area. Go at night to get a wondrous view of the clean night sky, bring a flashlight and pay attention on the trail though.

View from the lookout is top notch for sure!

Not really a trail, but the views are awesome and there are a few lookouts on the side of the trail.

Short and easy walk. A little muddy the day that we went, but still a cool little spot. We got to see some deer hanging out nearby, which was cool. I’m excited to go back again when the weather is nicer!

McConnell Springs and a few other local (and some far, when I had the time to drive+explore) parks, trails and other nature sanctuaries have helped me stay sane after moving from the county of small town Kentucky to middle of suburbia in Lexington. If you are in the area, McConnell Springs is awesome for little kids. Forms with details on scavenger hunt are kept up front. It helped keep my friend's kids engaged. Perfect if you don't have a ton of time and just need to see some trees.

Great hiking for all skill levels even wheel chair accessible. Beautiful scenery waterfalls, springs, caves. You are walking on a paved trail between two knobs. In the description says no dogs, don't know why. Mine went with me.

Very easy trail. More of a service road. Worth going to just to be on the highest point in KY. Beautiful scenery, especially to the south.

Boasting one of Central Kentucky only public access "Blue Holes", this short and sweet preserve is in b the heart of downtown Lexington, Ky, and is easily wheelchair and impaired accessible with exception of small segments. It has one of the nicest hands on nature centers with live critters indoors that my family has ever been to. Can be a quick trip, or you could spend a couple hours with small children there. Really enjoyed it with 4 small children.

Nice, well marked trail / road. Learning and pondering history of the turnpike is worth the hike.
