dog friendly love to walk dogs there

As far as riding goes it's nice and paved. The only downside is the homeless people spead throughout the trail. Some are decent other are not.

Nice place in the city. Enjoy taking my family here early in the morning. Get off the concrete and you might see some deer. Overall great city walk, we have seems snakes, owls, horses (people riding horses) and deer.

This could be a much better trail. unfortunately it has been ruined by littering. This app only shows 2.2 miles of sidewalk trail. There is actually another 5 miles of dirt trail here. I wish it had more elevation gain.

Full of bums. Earlier this year a woman was nearly raped while running on it, and I'm sure it's not the only time. Bring pepper spray, a baseball bat, a gun, and bail money.

I definitely recommend this trail. The only downside to this path is every one mile you have to cross a busy intersection.

Favorite trail I city limits. Pet friendly. Like others, I highly recommend going off the paved trail and exploring the offshoot trails. I love this place!

Nice trail for walking.

Gravel biking: every mile had to cross busy roads. Some required dismount due to ropes to prevent cars on path. Large and deep gravel in some places.

Very nice wide well maintained gravel trail along the old railway bed. Flat and straight. The trail does cross several busy roads so be careful as you approach. Especially if you’re running near dawn or dusk. The trail is not lighted so be sure to bring your lamp. Happy running!

I work in this area for a local school and I hike/run/walk and explore this trail on a weekly basis. It’s a great place to be during the day. After hours it’s not safe. Please enjoy during the day!

once you get off the concrete paths, you will see some great stuff. Pet friendly. watch for horses.

All in all its a nice little park that's in the city limits. I'd suggest going off the pavement and wandering about on a trail. It's definitely one of my favourites in wichita.

Nice paved trail along the river. Did this on a Sunday mid day and not very crowded. Mostly bike riders. Goes through a nice residential area and well maintained.

The Chisholm Creek Park trails are 4 looped trails (Quail, Heron, Bluestem, and Cottonwood), one an extension of the one before it. I elected to do the trails in figure 8 patterns using all the connectors as to cover all of the trails. This was about 2.5 miles. This was the dry season, so the water levels were down. There are boardwalks and bridges to traverse the wetlands and go across the creek. No bikes, skates, or dogs are allowed on these particular trails. The Great Plains Nature Center is also very nice. Note that when school is in session, Wichita and surrounding school districts will use this park for field trips, but the students are guided by park volunteers and staff.

Great network of trails in town. The trails aren't marked real well and there are myriad side trails to get sidetracked on but if you like a bit of adventure and don't mind the occasional wander it's great for a trail run.

I'm just impressed by it. I've been taking my dog on walks here ever since I discovered it.

Love this park, just wish the off-side walk paths were wider (they aren't dog friendly during tick season). Also wish they would never paved the main path, its nice to run on when I go to run, but hiking (rucking) I'd rather be on a trail.

as thrilling as walking on a sidewalk!

It looks a bit unattended, no restroom service. Are we allowed to pee in a tree? Besides that, a nice relaxing trail, lots of different birds.
