Underwhelming. It’s over before you even know it and nothing really special about it

This is an easy trail that you can make as short as half a mile and as long as two miles, depending on which path you decide to take.

Well maintained and marked, but a few trees are down due to the recent insane wind. Lots of leaves right now, so I would recommend poles or a walking stick because they hide a lot of obstacles. All in all, this is a fun trail.

Nice trail. It was quiet and peaceful and not so far from my home.

Enjoyed the hike and views of surrounding flint hills. Not the best time of year to see prairie life as most of the prairie grass had been burned for the winter.

Fairly challenging with LOTS of hills. Good workout on a pretty, wooded trail.

Gravel biking: every mile had to cross busy roads. Some required dismount due to ropes to prevent cars on path. Large and deep gravel in some places.

Very well marked easy trail. lol bed the lake views

Nice trail. Lots of people on a nice day though.

We parked, paid 5 bucks, took the red trail, the longest trail, it was not good for hiking at all, quite boring through the pasture . Boring will not come back

Great wooded area. Clean clear water even in the coves. Very quiet, clean. Plenty of connecting trails to stay busy

We love this trail! You wouldn't expect this scenery in KS, but it is well worth the drive.

Tucked away behind the city for a nice romantic or solo walk. In spring and fall the flowers are fantastic.

This really isn't a trail; just a short loop. Some good history here, and the view from the top is fun, but nothing fantastic.

Still a few muddy spots, but trails are mostly in good shape.

It’s the best trails ever !!

This is the best kept secret in Johnson County. Quite, clean, secluded, well maintained and well marked trails. By far my favorite trail around Olathe, DeSoto, Lenexa, Shawnee.

Stopped on our way through Kansas and got out hiking. Very little traffic the day we went. Had hoped to see some bison but not our day, hopefully next time.

Decent little park with some good photo opportunities. I drove over an hour to get here and you pay a $5 entry fee so I didn’t feel it was quite worth it. However it was completely dead and I ran into no one for 3 hours which is nice for me because I like to let my dogs run around and go crazy.

Beautiful prairie and wonderful trails. We went to the (I think it’s called) “Outback Country” where there were free roaming bison. We wanted to play it safe and give the bison their space so about 10 minutes into the hike after seeing a herd of about 10-15 we turned back. We enjoyed a lot of the other trails and I would definitely go again.

very easy to walk we had a toddler on a Cruz bike and stroller and we were able to do about five miles.

We enjoyed this scenic trail! We were treated to two bald eagle sightings and the walk-in campsites were perfectly placed for the best views.

Used this trail for training for backpacking. Good trail not much elevation change.

I really enjoyed this hike. there are a number of different trails that intersect at various points so you can choose your own adventure.

Great trail for walking, running, or biking. Tons of locals use it. It's mostly flat and an easy ride. I really have a hard time understanding why it's marked as moderate. There's some great views of the creek and it's a fun bike ride in fall. The trail is long too. You can ride this trail for hours.

Nice short walk with dog en route from Kansas City to Colorado

I love this trail. A nice mix of nature, residential neighborhoods and urban atmosphere.

Always one of my favorite short hikes. Usually very little traffic and I almost always see a few deer.

We just came back from a two mile walk around this very nice 9 mile loop! This is easily the biggest body of water in the area, and the trails are so easy. Everything is clearly marked, and we even saw a runner with his dog at the start of the Boy Scout trail :-)

This is a very trafficked area, so don't expect a lot of privacy. We went on a Sunday at noon hoping to beat crowds and only saw a few friendly people. The further you go away from the mass of trails (and just follow the lake loop) the less people you see--but this is February. I couldn't imagine a quiet space in June or July.

This is still a great place to enjoy the water and beautiful trees!

Great scenic trail along the Kansas River. I hiked the trail and there were photo ops every step of the way. There were quite a few very steep inclines, which was nice. There was a large homeless encampment about 2/3 of the way through. 5.5 miles is pretty accurate and it does loop, which I didn't get from my brief look at it on Alltrails. I walked in expecting to go 11 miles total. (Even though it does say loop in the legend!
