this trail is local for us as we live in rural Franklin county so it's easy to use it's usually always clean it's just a nice simple trail.

Simple historic site but significant regarding the Pony Express. Its worth a little effort to make it to this site.

I always learn something new every time I visit. Nice visitor’s center and fascinating history lesson.

I like this trail, but it is cracked in some areas. Not a huge problem though.

This is a new 10 foot wide paved trail. It starts at a stocked pond just off Main Street in Edgerton Ks. Proceeds uphill to ball diamonds crosses road does a loop you then backtrack to trailhead. You can do unpaved trail in combination for 3.4 miles.

The south end from 75th to 67th is nice. From 67th to Shawnee Mission pkwy borders a lot of businesses like car lots and self storage. Not real scenic.

This is an old railroad track area that has been repurposed as a very nice city trail.
I went in from the Garden Plains end. The Directions get you there just fine. But I questioned where to park and if I should get off the main road and drive down to trail head. I gave it a go and that turned out to be the thing to do. Not a lot of room to park there and I recommend you turn your car back around so you are facing toward the main road in case more cars join you.
I hiked in 3 miles and then the 3 miles back out. It’s a flat trail and has a crushed limestone base. Not a lot of mud. No one was on the trail but me. It was great. But it was late afternoon on a Thursday and It was the “end of the trail”. Ie I didn’t start in Goodard. I will try it that way the next time I visit Wichita. I saw deer, Doves, quail, and a skunk! It was a quiet enjoyable walk.

I picked this trail up at I-Lan park (127th & Nall) and headed north to Leawood City Park...perfect out and back for a total of 6 miles. very level, recommend for training to increase running distance/time. Met people all along the way walking, jogging, biking. Lots of shade so will definitely keep this one in mind for summer however this trail is stunning in the fall.

I love this trail . Use do live close there and spent a lot of time.

Good little stop if you are in the area. The ‘trail’ was clear. The rock formations were interesting and pretty. It is sad that people have defaced them so much though. Only other downside to this is the dated, offensive signage about the park. Some folks have tried to rightfully update it but really it needs professionally redone.

I have ridden this entire Trail on my bicycle. is well maintained and most of the ride is very scenic. the best part is south of Shawnee Mission Parkway on top of the large Hill. it has a great Overlook area.

Great path, it was exactly what I was looking for. It is a fully paved path great for many activities. I rode the full length and back on my mountain bike with city slicks.
Most people on the path understand all the basic courtesies required to make this enjoyable for everyone sharing for which I am very thankful. Though I was riding alone I did not feel alone; lots of waves and friendly smiles.

Nice, paved trail for the road bike. Pretty, scenic suburban trail meanders along Mill Creek. Fairly busy on the weekend. Watch out on the blind curves as the trail is somewhat narrow.

the biggest draw back is the Goose Poop EVERY WHERE.

I grew up in Overland Park over the past forty years and have been pleased to see the extensive trail system develop. I jog, bike, take my dog on jogs, and even ride my longboard on the Indian Creek trail. My wife and two boys live 3 blocks off the trail. The trail is fairly well cared for. A few cracks which are most notable on the skateboard, but they’re few. And definitely not a problem for any other mode. I’ve seen police on a few occasions. I don’t recommend a ride on it within 24 hours of rain, as a couple of low spots can pocket water. Summer day will dry it up, though.

I usually ride my mountain bike about 5 miles, I might run a 2 mile jog once a week. I sse a good balance of trees and open areas, which means even on hot days you will find a diversity of temperatures. Fall brings a few too many leaves for the longboard... And, pity the Activity menu here doesn’t have the skateboard-longboard and nor does it show inline skating. These are 90% level grade trails on the floodplain of the creek and are a treasure for the community. They provide continuous uninterrupted movement...just pick a mod and do a little “forest bathing” through the City of Trees. See you there!

Great place for a family bike ride, well maintained and little people.

Lots of beautiful views...very well maintained.

This trail is GREAT for a long run at almost anytime of the day because it has good tree cover throughout the trail. Also the pavement is well kept which means there is no need to worry about footing on a run.

I love it there and always look forward to a hike there whenever I am up here visiting family.

great easy trail to take the kiddos on. a little steep at the start for their bikes but after that it is perfect!

Nice and easy trail with some length to it.
