Very well marked and maintained trail. Will definitely hike again. A few areas had very fresh tree falls on the trail but nothing overly large or blocking to much of the trail. Was some trash at a campsite but I packed it out.

The trail was beautiful, but the state park map was incorrect.

The trail was beautiful, but the State Park map was incomplete.

This was a great place to visit. The map they gave me confused the heck out of me towards the end. Wish they had better landmarks on the trail map to identify where you really were. I got lost and was either on the white or blue trails. I don’t know. Lol I had to put the map down and try to figure out where I was. It didn’t help much with the one they gave me. But it was ok with that part. Really enjoyed my day! Would definitely recommend it. I will come back someday!!

Very well marked easy trail. lol bed the lake views

We enjoyed this scenic trail! We were treated to two bald eagle sightings and the walk-in campsites were perfectly placed for the best views.

Nice, well maintained trails. I'll definitely be back.

My favorite trail in Kansas, hands down. The north shore trail system is made up of the blue, white and red trail (just follow the coordinating blaze as each trail is well marked!). Ive done the entire trails system which is around 25+ miles. The red trail is the shortest trail but is (arguably) the most technical section as it scrambles along large rocks that follow the lake shore. Great for short/long hikes, trail running and biking! Great place to take your dog just be sure to keep on leash as the trails are very popular with mtn bikers.

This trail is definitely one of my local favorites. Tucked away (basically the locals best kept secret) so it doesn't get super busy, even in the summer months. A great 4-5 mile loop that has some technical parts (especially after a rain!) so it makes for a good heart pumping trek.

We had lots of fun! Ended at a part of the lake that actually almost felt like a beach cause the water was so wavy that day up to the shore! The maps really help to get a picture of where the trails get closest to the water/shoreline.

A great 4 mile loop that had quite a bit of frontage along Clinton Lake. There were 15 marked and established campsites along the trail that were slightly groomed and complete with fire pits and grates. The trail is very well maintained and blazed. Being November most of the foliage had dropped and taller grasses prevalent in the spring and summer months had subsided. I hiked and camped with my 7 year old son who did well on this trail. Elevation gain was mild for the most part. It's a great place for a quick overnighter or weekend getaway that is near Kansas City. There is also a car camping site located at the trailhead that seams to be popular with local college students. All in all a great hike that I will return to.

good views and trails are marked good

I loved it because it was a challenge. But I didn't know that you had to pay a $5 fee just to park. Also sometimes this app itself wouldn't be accurate in how the trails went about. I found myself getting lost but it was fun overall!

Nice wooded trail. Hiking with the water somewhat close for a significant part of the loop, but most times would take some foraging to get down to it. Great condition on this beautiful fall day. No problem with ticks, but lots of spider webs. 2 hour round trip at a modest pace

Great trail....well maintained. Trail end is not well mapped out on where to park if you are going end to end. They need better maps overall if you are first time hiker. Also get a Kansas parks pass even if you park before they open the park or they will ding you for parking without a permit- which is annoying ......

Great little Kansas secret. As others have mentioned ticks and other insects are rampant most of the year. There is a water spigot near the trailhead as well as vault toilets.
Here is some trail video I shot hiking last weekend.

If you start at the north end of the parking area, you will encounter rugged forested hills for at least a mile. It reminds one of the Ozark Mts. It can take 2+ hours to complete the trail and it is loaded with ticks from April until October.

Nice views of the lake.

Enjoyed this trail. There are a lot of great views along its 4.5 miles. My wife and I walked it in 2 hours carrying our twins on our backs. Easy to follow trail with camp site options with wonderful views.

This trail provides excellent views and is a great 4.5 mile hike.
I would give it 4-5 stars if it werent for all of the primitive camping spots being occupied by drunken fraternity members.

We use this one often. 4.2 miles in about an hour and a half. There are 15 hike in camp sites. Dog friendly!

Our first visit to Clinton Lake on the blue trail was good! The trail was well marked with blue blazes and very well kept. Single lane, well worn hiking and biking path, up hills and down hills, beautiful views of the water, squirrels, ducks, falling leaves and lots of hikers, runners and bikers throughout our 8 mile hike. Not overly crowded. The blue trail is not looping unless you venture on a more technical white trail. We opted on our first trek to stay on the blue trail up to 4 miles and turning back giving us our goal of 8 miles. We will be back and decided it could easily be a solo hike. Some trails feel more secure with a buddy but this trail is well marked.

I really liked this trail! Wooded views, Lake views, open fields, and some really serene camp sites. I would definitely camp here. Only passed a few other hikers, which was nice because I was looking for a nice alone hike. Definitely will be back.

this trail is not well marked. I tried to take the blue trail by the lake but quickly got lost on the white trail which is more "difficult" but only had Wooded views. lot of noise from people jetskiing nearby which was a minus.
