Well-marked trail. Nobody else using at at 11 a.m. on a weekday. Best to go when it hasn't rained in some time; some areas, especially hillsides and near creeks, were still muddy.

A fine little park with a paved trail that runs along the Kansas River. There's parking along the north end of Indiana Street (over the train tracks) or across from the corner of 6th and Kentucky. Used by runners and bicyclists alike. It goes only about 20 minutes in each direction, from the Massachusetts Street bridge to the KU Boathouse.

I was pleasantly surprised with this trail. I normally take my dog to the mutt run park near Clinton, but it gets horribly muddy and we've been having storms. Because this trial is sand, it is easy to navigate even when soaked. There was very little traffic and it seem to be well maintained. I do think it will be overgrown as the summer approaches since the bushes are already encroaching. A Frisbee golf course parallels the trail and offers more mileage if no one is playing.

Nice flat loop trail, not marked on maps at trailhead. The log over a creek is a challenge, but you can walk back about 50 yards and cross where the water is very shallow. Overall a nice easy hike in these quarantined times.

pretty boring trail - great views of rich people’s back yards lol. some nature (the creek). not good for longboarding because while it is paved there are many sharp turns

I would recommend this trail to anybody who would like to be walking their bike as much is riding it. Very technical with boulders and roots 12 to 18 inches tall.

good trail. mostly gravel. some water on low spots

Wonderful off leash trails along the river. Hardly any traffic, excellent maintenance, hardly any dog poop, and great bird watching!! You can fish here as well. Frisbee golf course next to trails

Long trail through the woods and well marked. Blue trail was underwater and we weren't brave enough to cross on the log.

Nice day on a well-kept trail. Lots of birds.

Beautiful day to get away from ‘Rona.

One of my favorite trails in Lawrence to feel like I am back in Denver.

Great hike. There's a creek crossing at 38.9342012, -95.3622967 where it's knee deep water. The only way across is a fallen tree which I wasn't about to risk. If you walk through the woods just a bit north it's more shallow and you can get across some rocks but your feet will for sure be wet if you don't have boots

I did this hike in early April on a day with excellent weather. As with all things outdoor the weather influences the experience. *Well marked trail *Gentle ups and downs *Typical NE Kansas flora Very nice that the blue trail and white trail are in close proximity. It makes for a nice loop hike.

Cool trail system! Lots of offshoots, it can most definitely be much more than 1.7 miles.

One of my all-time favorites. This is a great trail that’s consistently well maintained by the USACOE (thanks, y’all!) with no shortage of love let scenery, entertaining topography, and a host of little secrets around the area that make it worth returning to again and a again over the course of all four seasons!
