Frequent people with dogs, bikes and strolling. Paved the entire way. Not quite what I love (prefer woods), but good for what it is.

Great trail! Well maintained with Amazing views! Will definitely be back!

Nice easy walk around a small city lake. Partially paved, well maintained and mowed trails otherwise.

One of my favorites. Not too difficult but still enough to get a good workout. Great for families.

A solid 4+ mile hike with thick woods, meadows, lake views, and a very old farming implement.

Short, Easy trail with few changes in elevation. Paved portions covered in ice during February.

Wow...never knew this was here...game changer!

Love walking this trail any season. So many eagles spotted today.

Very scenic trail, rocky and difficult at times, will rehike often.

For the Midwest this trail has a lot going for it. It’s on a reserve with primitive camping spots dotted along this loop that overlooks the Clinton Reservoir, it goes through fields, woods and along the shore line. There’s some fun rocky terrain in quite a few places along with a few water crossings but nothing serious, there’s very little elevation but enough to get a workout. It’s very quiet except for the occasional gun shot (I believe there’s a range across the lake) but I only heard a few rounds and only came across one other couple hiking plus one guy camping. The trail is very well marked in blue, it seems to be well maintained (a tad narrow in places) and I imagine the poison ivy is fairly bad in warmer weather. The trail seems to retain moisture, it was a little muddy and even frozen slick in places but that’s part of the fun I guess. I imagine there’s a lot of wildlife out here too, saw lots of evidence of deer and raccoon so I’m sure there’s more.
I live an hour from here but will definitely make it a day trip next time and hang out longer in one of the camping spots, maybe bring lunch and a hammock?

Ran a 3.5 out and back. nice trail for any level from recreation to running/easy hiking. great for family. differently pet friendly and the owners seemed to ensure personal where on the leases but didn't clean up dog poop

hiked this for its length and scenery. We saw a bald eagle in flight. Beautiful. There is a section of the trail marked to stay on the trail because of unexploded ordinances. Surprised no one else mentioned that. The trail was really well maintained with benches and trashcans.

Beautiful trail! Use caution, husband and I saw mountain lion tracks in the snow there yesterday 11/28/2018!!

Greatly enjoyed the trail! Took my wife and kids backpacking and spent the night out on the trail. Highly recommend. We started on the down by the dam though. Had some tricky spots going through crevices but was pretty easy and great views.

Hiked end to end starting at East trailhead on Monday the 26th of November. Started at 7:17am. 23 degrees with light snow cover over everything. It warmed up to above freezing around noon and the trail got pretty sloppy. This trail is a major workout for your ankles and knees. Very rocky terrain and lots of elevation changes. Seen lots of wildlife (deer, squirrels, tons of ducks and geese and one eagle on the lake). We also seen some wild hog tracks around mile 11. We finished at 4:45pm so little over 9.5hrs to complete the entire thing. We did stop and ate lunch for about 30 mins. Great hike, perfect weather. Not what you'd expect in Kansas. There is a trailhead at around mile 9 if you don't want to hike the entire thing and another road at around mile 13, but you'll need to leave the trail to find the road about 1/4 mile from trail. It's really easy to find using google maps.

Hiked on Black Friday.
Pretty much on my own with my dogs.
Hiked middle section from road to road
Very cool rocks
Very rocky path
You need very good shoes.
Would like to come back in the spring.
Great views of valley.
Some pretty cool camping spots under cliffs.

I spent 15 minutes on the trail just to check it out. this Trail appeared to have less horse traffic, a little better maintained and as a result smoother for hiking (or so it seemed) . Next time I return I'll go farther on the Blue Trail.

I didn't feel the trailhead was well-marked but once found I headed down the orange Trail. I stayed on the trail for 15 minutes just to see what it was like. For me the horses had churned up the trail, and I would recommend not wearing shorts as the weeds hang over the trail in many spots. again, on the orange Trail 4 only 15 minutes.
then I turned around to go and check out the Blue Trail

Very nice flat and fast trail . Scenic along Kansas River.

This trail is a hidden gem along the shores of Pomona Lake. The blue trail roughly follows the Army Corps property line and the orange trail generally runs closer to the lake. This wonderful trail needs more traffic to keep the weeds down! Orange and blue together form a 40+ mile loop.

Awesome trail that was very well marked. Super clean with some nice elevation changes. Plenty of streams and overall great trail!!

My fave trail so far. Great primitive camp sites and you see water for most of the hike. Has some great views for Kansas.

Very nice trail system to hike
only complaint is that needs to be marked a little better

I’ve run trail races here. It is very technical and very rewarding. Gorgeous views once you get out of the trees.
