This really isn't a trail; just a short loop. Some good history here, and the view from the top is fun, but nothing fantastic.

very easy to walk we had a toddler on a Cruz bike and stroller and we were able to do about five miles.

Great trail for walking, running, or biking. Tons of locals use it. It's mostly flat and an easy ride. I really have a hard time understanding why it's marked as moderate. There's some great views of the creek and it's a fun bike ride in fall. The trail is long too. You can ride this trail for hours.

I love this trail. A nice mix of nature, residential neighborhoods and urban atmosphere.

I work nearby and this paved trail is a great spot for a lunchtime walk. Trail is right along the river, has lots of tree cover and several benches and even swings where you can stop, sit and watch the river.

Great for long bike adventures with small towns. Not great if you are looking for big hills. Some stretches of the trail are so straight you can see a mile ahead of you.

Close to home, good for walking Lilly

Good walking/Running around the park. Only bad thing is all the Geese around the park. In some areas, you have to dodge all the poop on the sidewalks. But, still a nice park!

Great, well maintained rail-trail. I love it for long runs with the pup. Runs through rural Kansas countryside and through some small towns.

We got our rental car good and dirty getting to this one.

Great park. Derby has invested and continued to invest in making this a great place to go for outdoor activities. The hiking trail is easy and winds along a creek in the east side of the park. Even though this park is very active, wildlife, especially birds are found all over. The paths around the lake are wide sidewalks with signs that clearly show different distance options. Something new to the park is the story walk, which is updated monthly,.

Trail was closed for some type of reconstruction

I love to walk this one.

Its great way to get in a long distance run.

City Park, great winding paths that dip into trees at one location. Short hiking trails off paths along creek. Bathrooms and porta toilets. Surrounding soccer fields and the pond. Kids play area also.

We took our kids and dogs starting near 103rd and Antioch. There is a small loop near a playground and tennis courts. Lots of trash from recent creek flooding and no lightning under the bridges. I would not be comfortable alone even though it is a safe area. Otherwise a nice easy loop for a quick walk.

very interesting rock formations.

Wide and nicely paved 6.8 mile loop trail goes along Lake Shawnee. The Ted Ensley Gardens along the trail is a must walk through.

Came through Fort Scott and stopped again to get fuller tour. Free admission to the site. Very informative. It is a destination hike.

Did the Tallgrass preserve trail a month ago. Me,my wife and youngest son enjoyed the views and got up close with a buffalo along the path.

best paved trail of topeka. period.

Wow! What a surprise to find right here in Salina! I really enjoyed this trail, as did my sick nephew. It's hard to find a trail he can do since he had his accident, but this one paid off BIG TIME. Had a blast. Don't forget the pup!

Amazing Kansas views!!

Great place to go see. Make sure you visit when a re-enactment is taking place.

Some people are worried to go here because of the murders, but it is VERY safe and family friendly. I'm always finding my bike down there and there are lots of kids and couples walking their dogs and tennis players. It is not sketchy it feels very safe.

Not very fun, just a concrete path thru town mostly. Not chill;):(

nice, easy, and well maintained trail. The trail is mostly exposed to the sun with tree cover for only small sections, so bring sunscreen.

Trail was nice, easy, and beautiful. However we were covered in tiny ticks afterwards. Yuck! Not wheelchair friendly.

Except for the railroad repairs going on, it was a very peaceful hike.
