Nice walk thru historical area and then thru the prairie. Easy on/off I-80 if you’re looking for a break.

I like to go down to this trail and take pictures of wildlife and nature. It's not very long but has plenty to see if you explore and is a good place to go in any season.

This little Island is a real beauty for our area with different things to see and explore. Wonderful nature habitat but I doubt you would see any deer. It's great for all kinds of ages and you can't get lost. The history is interesting and with the boats and Lock and Dam, there's plenty to see. One of my favorite places to go for solitude and getting back to nature.

Very family friendly and beautiful! We plan to come back when we have more time to see more of the park.

we walked .18 miles & got to a stream that we had to cross with no bridge. we walked back out. total trip .39 miles. not recommended.

Great trail that has every kind of trail experience you want in Iowa. lots of up and down so pace yourself and start at the campground if you're bringing kids. the full trail will tucker them out quickly.

Gentle stroll through the rolling woods of southern Iowa. Practically all ages could take this trail and have a nice time. Plenty of spots to stop and take in nature. A couple playgrounds along the four-foot path. Perfect trail for anyone staying at the campground who wants to go for a swim or go fishing on the lake. Meant to record with All Trails running but paused the app while stopping for a drink of water and forgot to turn it back on. OOPS!

Moderate is pretty accurate once you get closer to Mingo and beyond. Bondurant to that point the trail is very flat and easy.

Great views. Bring bug spray- the mosquitos swarm around walkers and joggers.

Pretty but got to watch out for the roots, rocks, and steep climb on the trails.

I love walking this trail. The trail is almost completely shaded. It is easy to get my workout. There are plenty of exits so if the whole loop is too much just take what you want.

Great paved trail, easy and would be perfect for families with smaller children. Fairly heavy use, from families to to folks preparing for RAGBRAI! Great ride on the 4th of July!

have rode it several times love it

Beautiful trail. Would have been 5 stars if it was marked better with signs, etc.

It is probably beautiful, but it is apparently closed for construction.

Water skied on this lake years ago. Pleasant lake that used to be a bend on the Missouri river.

Really enjoyed how the trails were “natural” at some points and it provides good practice for “climbs”

Great set of trails off the beaten path. If you are looking for a longer trail away from most of the public... you will love this location. Several times I have hiked the 10+ mile trails and never passed a single person.

Beautiful prairies, gets noisy with the Interstate being so close.

Typical issues with a horse trail, especially at the trailhead, various types of trees, and the wildflowers we’re nice. Use the app not always well marked.

06/19/18 - I headed north from the Douglas Ave trail head and made it only about a quarter mile before the trail was impassable due to the high level of the river. It was fun while it lasted, though. I'll head back when it dries out some.

Quick and easy Highpoint. There is no hike. The area has a nice display with a registry log, info on other highpoints.

Nice trail. A few small hills. Its an older trail so a bit bumpy in places.

Drive through some grass trails that I believe were for hiking. Oh well! The lake is dry due to reconstruction.
