I used to come fishing here quite a bit.. sad to see the lake is gone. There are some other smaller ponds around the trails I noticed. In terms of hiking, the trails are pretty and variable, though can be tricky to spot at times off the gravel paths / roadways.

I love taking the dog out here to get some air. Sometimes we run it and other times we just walk it and enjoy the sunset. It's got a beautiful view of the city. Very dog friendly. I've only been here in the winter but we love it.

Long trail, fairly flat, with tall grasses and water views along the way. I appreciated the drive as much as the run. Really felt like I was getting away from it all.

Great trail! Scenery was nice with winding paths, bridges, rock formations and the large body of water visible throughout most of the trail. Looking forward to hiking this trail again! Great trail for Hawkeyes to visit when they need a few hours of relaxation!

One of the best trails for trail running with a canine companion - trails are wide enough for both of us and we love the trees and lookout points over the water. So pretty!

Loved the rolling hills and dense forest. Nice unpaved trails for hiking and well marked. Loved the views of the lake from bluffs above. Close to Iowa City. Will definitely come back when in town next.

Nice pet friendly trail. Plenty of tree cover most of the way. Can be a busy trail.

nice scenic trail, wooded areas but also opens up. Easy walk and hardly any hills.

No lake there, which was sad. Otherwise, super pretty field and tons of flat trail to hike.

Great views of the river. Saturday late morning hike was fairly busy.

Busy but very dog friendly

It's a really good trail that I would do again very soon. Easy

Well maintained trail system. Easy to find and parking for about 15 cars. Some elevation change but not difficult at all. Beautiful views of the river.

Great little loop through the forest and along the lake. Can be busy during warm and holiday weekends. Great for a quick hike if you live in the area

Very pretty view of the lake and some fun locations to do a little climbing.

Beautiful view at the top

After my first time, I will be back! Peaceful and under crowded. There is plenty of trail to walk a different route and discover new things each trip. Very satisfied.

This is my favorite trail to walk in this area!

I arrived energetic and left peacefully went to bed with a wonderfully relaxed body it was beautiful to enjoy!

First time I have been to this park. I will be coming back. Great place to hike, bring a lunch and eat at one of the benches. Very peaceful. Also found a great place on the trail to get down to the water and take a swim. Enjoy.

The trails were short loops, no varying terrain. Very easy and family friendly, if that's what you are looking for. It wasn't what I was looking for.

In my opinion, trails were a bit confusing but marked clearly. Very pretty, fair share of small hills. Clean, nice area.

Nice trail. Missed a turn and cut about a mile off of the distance. Most of the trail was very well marked.

awesome trail, great for trail running or a casual hike. in the squire point loop there are several outdoor pieces of exercise equipment.

Great hike. Most of the trail is shadowed with trees. Beautiful water and forest views. Highly recommended.

Good trail overall. Nice hills and the trail itself is easy to run on but still hard enough to make it fun to watch your feet if you're moving at a good clip. It is short for die hard runner though.

Beautiful area! The trails wind all around the park with many different scenes and areas. The trails are not always marked so you may want to take a nap.
