Stairs were a little rough at the start but loved looking at all the birds and flowers.

Beautiful trail with part of it that runs along the beach.

Absolutely love this trail! I do this one almost every week when it’s nice!! ❤️

The trail is an easy to moderate hike for beginners with a few tall inclines which made it a little harder than expected. We took the long loop and the only complaint I have is the bugs. They were determined to be in my face; so even with lots of spray, I was fanning them away continuously with the trail map. I'd hate to see what they're like when there's actually been rain.
Did see some cacti and some other cool flowers I haven't seen before. There was even a cute little garter snake on the trail.

Beautiful trail! Good changes of scenery, all in my backyard!

This is a great trail. It's full of wildflowers & prickly pear cactus in the summer. Lots of birds as well. It takes you through a bog & up a dune. Great views. If only you could cut out the sounds of the highway & trains!
Bring bug spray in the summer.
Lock your car & be aware of your surroundings.

Great hike. Half the hike we were climbing a boardwalk and stairs with amazing views. The other half was sand pathways and along the lake. There was a beach house open for bathrooms. My six year old loved running on it.

Dunes are a good workout, lake view nice. Trail has some down trees.

This was an awesome trail! We're first time hikers and this is just what I was looking for, there were hills, and branches and sand dunes! I love it, we even seen a bunch of deer going through the field!

Beautiful walk along Lake Michigan with a view of downtown Chicago in the distance. Bring beach chairs or towels. There are flushable toilets at the main entrance. The sand was white and very soft. No shoes are necessary on the beach. The sand dunes are beautiful.

I have only done 1 mile of this trail many times, which includes the part with all of the stairs. But the views when you get up there are amazing. You have a diverse hiking trail with great views. Great for families! Beautiful beach.

Decent but not great trail.

Great moderately difficult loop through the Dunes.

Was very decent hike. Especially when you take your kids. If you doing it during the summer time make sure you're prepared, and grab mosquito repellent and water of course.

Stairs to the beach was fun.

If you can get past the smokestacks, this place is amazing. The dunes are pretty awesome. Where did all the mosquitoes come from?

very nice trail with a big set of stairs to walk up or down

Took my time i'm pretty much a relax while you walk and enjoy the sights.
