Nashville, Indiana Map

Watch out this trail is under construction so hard to complete the loop right now.
Don’t know how but my garmin GPS recorded 2.8 miles not as advertised, other than that awesome views.

Trail is an out and back right now due to downed trees. Went out with our kids and had to turn around. There is a sign in. Sheet at the beginning. Nothing was noted about the trail damage.

My wife and I hiked Trail 7 around Ogle lake today about 1 week past prime fall colors, but the Beech and Maple trees were still beautiful. The trail felt a little shorter than the claimed 1.5 miles, but we didn't track it to be certain. Quite easy trail with little to no elevation to speak of. Although trail maps show the trail going away from the lake a bit on the North side, it appears the trail does stay near waters edge the entire loop. Heavily trafficked especially during prime times in the park. Nice views of the lake on all sides.

Nice trail overall. Other than the long uphill stairs and one other short section, the trail was not too difficult and mostly flat or slight inclines/declines. My wife and I started from Ogle Parking Lot and hiked in a counterclockwise direction. We were about 1 week past prime fall colors, but still beautiful as the Beech Trees and occasional Maple were beautiful. The trail map provided at the gates are not drawn to scale or at least not that great to rely on in regard to how close you are to a road, etc. The rail actually goes right next to Hesitation Point and the main road whereas on the trail map provided, it is not that close. Trail markings were mostly good. Also, it appears unless you hike out and back to the West Overlook, the trail is closer to 3.2 miles than 3.5 miles. We will hike again in the future.

Best views in Indiana. Nice rolling hills great for a day hike or to venture out with the family.

Did an overnighter on this trail for a bachelor party. Good trail to hike. Saw a few mountain bikers on our hike out. The leaves were still thick on the trees so we couldn’t enjoy some of the views others posted about. Overall a good trip. The map shows streams close by: don’t rely on that for water. Pack it in.

A beautiful trail. About halfway there is a little creek with what I think are clay banks. my family ended up taking the old road short cut. Someday I'll go by myself or with adults

the time we went was very buggy. Nice trail though.

We enjoyed it.

Great hike with kids!

good conditioning from lake to bench.

It was fun, a little challenging and about the right distance for a moderate hike. There was only one place where the direction sign was missing that kept us from staying on path but thanks to the AllTrails map we corrected rather quickly.

Yesterday was brutal as I 2asnt mentally prepared for a 4 mile hike. We did it though in under 3.5 hours.

This trail only took about 3 hours to hike. I wouldn’t rate it as hard, it’s an easy/moderate trail. There was definitely a section of gravel road that I was disappointed to hike about halfway through the trail: bug and mosquito infested by the way. So in warmer times of year bring a buff to cover your ears/face because you’ll likely need it. After re-entering the trail from the gravel road, you’ll go down into a creek bed which is the best part of the trail!

Nice easy trail

Nice hike, has a little bit of everything. Little creek sidewalk, some vertical accent and decent, had a little walk on a gravel road. Would recommend you bring a stick for cobwebs, and possibly long pants. Some areas were a little overgrown. A good break away from typical Brown county hikes, probably will end up doing it again down the road.

Very nice back country trail. Can be overgrown in the summer. Bring your own water or filter.

Great place to sync in with nature. Awesome river /stream going through the trail.

The trail itself is nice., Good inclines, white diamond blazes on the trees. The trail head sign was slightly covered today. My friend and I hiked it counter clockwise. To hike it clockwise walk down the gravel road a bit and pick up the trail with the sign that is marked “High King Hill”.

If hiking it counter clockwise you’ll come to a shared trail/road that has blazes all along the way and it eventually comes to a T. Go left and you’ll see trail markers on the left. It says it’s the Tecumseh trail but it carried the white diamond blazes and brought us to the bottom of High king hill. A few downed trees at one point which required climbing but nothing hard.

The road in is gravel and had signs that cautioned about flooding. So keep in mind how much rain we’ve had when you’re heading to the trail.

Challenging enough to be interesting without being too long or exhausting on a hot day in July. Saw lots of turtles and one adult northern water snake

beautiful trail

The trail has been expanded to a 4.5 mile loop. It was a fun afternoon hike and the trail was well maintained. There is an option to take a gravel road in order to hike half of the trail. While the trail wasn't particularly scenic, it was a nice hike. I'll definitely be back again since it's close to Columbus and there's no fee to enter.

A fun trail! Not well marked but manageable. There’s currently a large tree down but you are able to get through/around without issues. Be careful of the horseflies, they wouldn’t leave my dog alone.

The trail was a lot of the same view throughout. Lots of trees and wooden steps. Glad I wore long pants due to the path being narrow and overgrown with weeds. Trees down and in the path requiring you to climb over. For a lot of the hike you can actually see and hear traffic due to the trail being so close to the road. Not my favorite hike, probably wouldn’t pursue it again.

Beautiful and challenging hike for a beginner but absolutely rewarding and worth it upon completion!

We did Brown County park in Spring with leaves just coming out. Wild flowers in bloom however. I would love to repeat in fall with the colors!
