Good, more natural trail in the woods. Nice to have a place to walk that’s not just a paved path!

Well-maintained and well-trafficked trail that’s good for hiking or trail running. Definitely would consider this to be more easy than moderate

Loved it! Very kid friendly!

Great trails! Pretty narrow in most spots though, and can be difficult to navigate / there’s not a lot of markers. I took my small dog with me and he had no issues with the trail. Will definitely go back.

Just a plain neighborhood park.

Life this place! A little trouble with druggies in the parking lot and people breaking into cars but other than that this place rocks! Love the trails and I’m thankful for the guys that maintain them!!

Love eagle creek! Several great trails.

The access road from East 96th Street was closed so we parked along Crystal River Drive which parallels some of the trail. There were a couple openings in the brush and we took one to hop on the trail. No leaves on the trees or bushes made this much easier as we could see the trail through the blank trees/brush. We walked north to 96th Street and then back South to the 465 underpass. We had the trail to ourselves on a mostly sunny day. We picnicked at the 96th Street trailhead and observed (and then ignored) the trail closed sign. The trail was somewhat muddy despite not having had much recent rain or snow. Just winter precipitation I guess. Without leaves on the trees there were great views of White River.

I live near here so an annual pass is a must! This is a beautiful park 15 minutes from Downtown Indy, though you’d never know you were so close because of the setting! I run this trail often, it’s about 6.5 miles if you complete the loop. You have some slight elevation, run beside a lake, lots of variation. I’d rate it as a very enjoyable somewhat moderate trail. If you’re experienced more of an easy rating. It’s definitely worth your time to visit Eagle Creek Park and the Red Trail is my favorite of all!

Super easy trail though most is near the creek so flooding can be a big problem depending on the time of year. Be prepared for it to be closed or very muddy. Other than that, very easy, wide, flat trail.

Great relaxing trail.

The trail is totally flooded today. Come prepared for a nice walk on the road. Wait till the waters recede and I’ll give it 5 stars !

It was pretty muddy because it had rained a lot during the week, but this is still a great park close to Indianapolis.

This is a narrow singletrack built and maintained by Hoosier Mountain Bike association. It is of 3 serious mountain bike courses in Indianapolis (besides Ft Harrison and Southwestway). Keep this in mind as there are MANY places exclusive to foot traffic in Indianapolis. It's not that it's popular with Mountain Bikers it's one of the few places they are allowed.

Really nice trail! Loved it! Well marked, well traveled. Two spots, very small area, where ice was still present. Ground was frozen so it was not muddy.

Fun trail yesterday that is still snow packed. Not too strenuous and there are stairs near the Creek to cut down on erosion. Great place to bring the dog. Took about an hour on the full snow pack just because there were some icy spots. I expect it will be muddy once it melts. Ample parking and not crowded at all.

Very Difficult to navigate. If it wasn't the winter time and the trail wasn't packed down, I'd have no clue where I'm going. The trails also merge in clusters, and there's no way to identify which trail goes where.

I'd give this trail 2 out of 5 starts, but evidently some people navigate much better than I can... Pictures online look great and I must've missed it! Ultimately, the "views" aren't worth the research this trail takes.

nice park, great playground and bike trails

Great hiking close to Indy. Nothing rugged, flat trail, nice scenery.

A superb loop trail that combines all of the trails into one nice perimeter loop. It turned out to be a perfect 10km. I'd recommend parking on the south side as it makes for an easy starting point. Although, any parking lot will do. The part along the highway isn't super ideal, but it's a good trail, with the walk around the lake being a highlight. This will get you off of the main walker's routes, so enjoy!

It was sprinkling on and off when we went hiking, so there weren't any bikers on the tail (we did see two runners). This was a nice trail, I loved the signs of encouragement along the trail. Apart from the trailheads marked "Entrance" and "Exit Only" there seemed to be two other trailheads at the parking lot. Would love to explore those, as well.

A fun mix of trails at Fort Harrison State Park. This nice Oct morning had good weather, well kept trails and about a dozen deer, including 2 bucks! The less traveled route is my favorite - narrow, sharp turns and a few small inclines.

I’ve only visited two other parks in Indiana, and this one is by far my favorite. It’s far enough from the road that you don’t see asphalt.
Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of markers. You kinda have to navigate yourself well. I ended up at the side of the road cos I followed a mountain bike trail and i thought there would be another in. I just walked on the side of the road until I got back to the car which worked out cos it was a mile and it was hot.
Will be going back and finishing what I had started.

Really great trails, from winding up and down trails on the bluff to scenic walk down by the White River. My new favorite place to hike on the west side of town. But definitely built with bikes in mind. Some horse trails too. There's more than just the loop that is shown on this app. A couple seem to follow the river to parts unknown. So get a map or GPS. Go out and explore!
