Large enough to spend hours. Varied terrain, with prairie, woods, and river shore. Some elevation change. The trails in some places are both narrow and on a slope which can be somewhat concerning when wet. The river floods not infrequently, rendering the lower areas of the park underwater. But even then there's plenty of trails left to walk. It's a beautiful park. Not too busy. Plenty of parking.

Given all the rain and snow lately, the trail was very muddy! Other than that it was a great walk, nice steep inclines and grades every once in a while. Can’t wait to go back in the summer when it’s not as muddy!

Thanks to the polar vortex last week much of the camp creek trail was very icy and/or muddy. Great trail for hiking especially the portion off the pavement.

Highly recommend when it’s covered in snow, you’ll forget you’re in the middle of Indy!

Nice smooth trail east of Kessler. Perfect to roller skate, with great views and it’s so quiet. Small twist and turns and small hills to keep it interesting. Twigs and branches littered throughout the trail but it’s maintained pretty well between Kessler 465.

nice little park plenty of trail running says you can ride a bike too but wouldnt be much of a challenge

Love this place as it's a nice escape to hike. Lots of wildflowers and some hills following the creek.

Moderately easy trail, good for getting out and close to the city. Some areas can get muddy so don’t bring your new kicks.

Great running trail. Super easy for a beginner runner. The trail does a lot of dips and small hills, but nothing too difficult. Very muddy because of rain in January and heavy foot traffic. Trail was pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon and I could hear the cars on interstate for most of the trail too. But overall, really fun!

Very nice park! Well kept and trails are marked well. I only took off one star because it is pretty busy.

Well maintained

This trail was awesome! Highs and lows for Indiana. Quite a bit of mud, but that was expected after it rained for days here. I had a lot of fun with the family!

I agree I would not call this trail moderate. It should be easy. One hill with steps doesn’t qualify it as moderate for me. I like being “off road”

Nice hike but a lot of it was on asphalt which was a downer. I liked the woods portion.

Decent hike close to the city. some up & downs give a good workout. We went to the inside trails.

Really wonderful views throughout. Took the dog and he enjoyed it as well. Not muddy at all if you stay on the trails. Pleasantly surprised! Will be making multiple trips back.

Really good trail

This is a nice little park. Very easy gravel trails with interpretive signs about the animals, trees, and pond along the trails. You won't get complete quiet due to the park being in the flight path of the airport, but it is a nice place to have a pinic or take small children on an easy hike. I didn't try fishing here.

Great park in Indy. Nice hike down to the river. Nice ruins. Dog friendly. Stone steps. Good area to explore. Saw two fawn playing in the creek, a bonus!

Lovely surprise close to hotel, for a quick 2 miles before hitting the road. Will def return for a long run!

Nice loop trail that encompasses a lake in NE Indianapolis. Very accessible to take a walk during your lunch break and/or before/after work to enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of various birds, ducks and geese visit the area along with the fish. Have saw a bald eagle fly overhead while walking here as well!

Nice, easy quick trail to spend some quiet time in the woods by the water. You may come across someone fishing.

For Indianapolis I give it a five star. Great for biking, walking or running. For a beginner biker I’ve taken a few brutal spills but this time of year (Nov) it is a great running trail due to less traffic. Doesn’t hurt that it’s also like 10 min from home. Only 20 min drive from downtown on a weekend.

Pretty Park, many trails. Seems a popular place to hike with your dog. Trails are easy. A little over a couple miles to hike. Large parking lot accommodating many vehicles.
