A paved path the wanders along White Lick Creek and thru the woods. Hummel Park is a typical city park with the usual amenities. A playground for the kids. An outdoor performing arts venue. Athletic fields and picnic shelters. There is also a sizeable sledding hill when snow is on the ground. Spotted either a hawk or a falcon perched in the underbush beside a pond, ( I'm no bird expert but I believe it was or the other).

No nature views. Trail begins across the street from the iconic home of the Indy 500. I can remember in the 70s campers parked on what is now the trail. It was a prime party spot race weekend. Trail is asphalt part of way and crushed limestone the rest.

Paved trail along the bank of Pleasant Run Creek. Westside Park has the usual park amenities, a dog park, playground, picnic shelters, basketball court and a softball field. Plenty of things for the kids to do.

Nice trail for a stroll. Make sure that you visit the Jasper Mill.

Easy flat paved trail. Small section of woods

Short Paved Trail Along the Ohio River nice views of the river and not very crowed, flat so it is very easy.

A pleasant surprise I stumbled upon during my lunch hour break from the convention center! Loved all the flowers! Only drawback was there were a lot of bicycles!

The trails are paved except for the nature trail which goes through a Prairie style area. Which I recommend adding to your walk.

There are two short loops you can add to this walk to make the walk a little longer than 2 miles. Most of the trail is concrete. A short section is dirt. The park planners did well when they added this walking trail to the Avon community. After your walk, be sure and check out the comfortable chairs they have provided and enjoy the view of the lake.
