Great trail. We started at the trailhead and camped above the rock bluffs on the north side of Indian Lake. There were some spots where the trail was narrow due to being slightly overgrown, but overall the trails were in decent shape. We didn’t notice any ticks and were fortunate enough to come across a handful of deer.

I started the trail not really feeling it. However the trail did grow on me. Overall it’s a great trail. Enjoy!

Great trail for the most part. There was evidence of recent mowing and clearing of downed trees, which was very nice. Be wary, this trail has portions that are tick infested. I found over 50 tiny baby ticks on myself and even more after I got home and was able to do a more thorough sweep. Definitely be prepared for that. Other than that, there are several campsites along the trail for overnighters to use. We hiked the outside loop in around 8 hours. Water sources other than the lake were few and far between, lots of dry creek beds unfortunately.

We started at the trailhead and hiked towards Celina Lake.Trail was overgrown in alot of spots and one particular spot by Indian Lake had TONS of nymph ticks! We spent forever trying to get them off our pants and hands. We did however find a great campsite just pass the start of Indian Lake. We finished the rest of the hike through many over grown areas that had lots of tick potential and multiple downed trees. We saw no campsites after Indian so chose to finish the trail out instead of a second night on the trail. The trail was so overgrown in knee high grass and weeds that we chose to take a connector trail and finish out on the road to our car. All in all we got a workout but the trail was in no way maintained appropriately for summer hiking and the risk of ticks is high.

Overall a great trail. From Celina dam to South side of Indian lake is marked as closed at the trail head. Follow the deer paths for some nice vantage points of the lake or wildlife. Found a wonderful spot with hundreds of butterflies at the waters edge this way. There are some downed trees in spots but easy to cross. No shade if you make the half loop. A few heavily used dispersed camping spots along the way. Ticks were light but we treat our clothing and had zero bites and only a few dead. On the clothing.

We did the loop around Celina Lake. Started on the north side near the parking. The trail wasn't cleared and overgrown. Once heading south it was much better. The trails around the lake were maintained but muddy. Overall pleasurable. The temporary reroute north bound trail was a gravel road the whole way back to the parking.

I ran the full loop, my Garmin came up with 12.55 miles so I think it is definitely shorter than the 16 miles listed on the map. There was some mud in a few spots but nothing too deep I couldn't go around. There are also several creek crossings but only one where I actually got my feet wet. The levees had been cut recently but there was one section that was overgrown and had some pretty tall weeds I only found one tick on me when I was finished though. Overall, I think it is a great trail and I'll definitely be back.

Some of the area is pretty weedy and there was a lot of ticks but it was amazing besides that and a great 13 mil trial

a well marked trail, a little muddy the day I went.

This is a fun and challenging trail. There is still a fair bit on mud on the trail. There are several grassy sections that you must cross which are full of ticks. Please be careful to remove them after each passing. The grass in these sections was past my knees.

This is a gorgeous trail with lots of lake views and a pleasant amount of hills. We enjoyed one of the several existing campsites on Indian Lake. Serious amounts of poison ivy along the trail, including one tree down across the trail covered in fuzzy poison ivy vines.

Lots of hills

Did an overnight backpacking trip. there were several great spots to camp overlooking the lake with a fire ring. A portion of the trail was pretty marshy. I expect that in the summer the bugs would be pretty bad, so I would only come back early spring and late fall.

The trail was extremely muddy because of the rain, but easy to avoid by going off trail a bit. A few smaller creek crossings throughout the trail, and a lot of picturesque views of the lakes throughout the hike.

Great trail! I will definitely be back to do the loop counter clockwise. Great all around trail - it was very muddy and creek crossings were higher than usual due to rain, but what do you expect? Well marked and maintained - lots of options for camping around the lakes if you wish to do so. Not sure why I waited so long to check it out.

nobody told us we would have to cross a river

Love the trail, it's nice and I've done it twice. Very nice, fun trail.

This is an awesome trail overall. Hardly hiked, so in the summer there will be spider webs. There's a lot of wildlife on this trail, so if you're quiet, you will see a fair amount of deer, does, etc. I spotted a beaver, fox, and two doe on this trail. The trail changes quiet a bit.

Nice fall hike. New signage throughout trail and logged areas have thickened up nicely since last year.
