Park close to the church, entry way to trail is close to road (100s) must walk across part of field to get there. There is another opening in the back/middle part of field, enters on part of red trail. Portion of red trail cut in open field, no shade. Wooded sections require moderate agility with stumps, sticks, roots. Large dirt/mud sections have been covered with bark to prevent mud/puddles but would advise against after a good rainstorm.

Fairly steep hills in upper course lot, little sun cover for 95%, plan ahead. Short section through woods. Overall decent walk, if you go off the loop there is a frisbee golf course.

Busy trail, walkers, bikers, runners, little shade during day

This trail, or system of trails, cuts through woods and some paved paths. It’s not really one trail but a series of paths. Nice walk, but it could be better organized.

Easy flat paved trail. Small section of woods

Lots of offshoots on the trail, and good sights. really enjoyed the bridges and the playground at the beginning. Trails for me and playground for the kids. :)

It's your typical paved trail. Great to walk if you just want something easy. Goes under the haunted bridge and along the river at one point so both cool features.

The trails are paved except for the nature trail which goes through a Prairie style area. Which I recommend adding to your walk.

Odd location on how you park and then walk across a field to enter it. The trail was pretty muddy and the prairie area trail was a bit high.

An enjoyable mixture of walking trails.

There are two short loops you can add to this walk to make the walk a little longer than 2 miles. Most of the trail is concrete. A short section is dirt. The park planners did well when they added this walking trail to the Avon community. After your walk, be sure and check out the comfortable chairs they have provided and enjoy the view of the lake.

The drainage is this area is not very good so when it rains things really get muddy. Plan ahead.
