Grayslake, Illinois Map

I love this trail! It’s a beautiful spot that has open views and lush vegetation. Bring my dog here all the time.

Very scenic and connects to Millennium Trail. One of my favorites!

Nice easy trail to train for a 5K (if you don’t do the small loop at the creek). It does have a tendency to flood if there are heavy rains. I wound up running with fish one time (totally misjudged the amount of water on the trail).

Currently, it’s my favorite trail to run.

This is beautiful at sunset

Love this trail for biking.

Nice easy trail for a long walk

The park itself is typical of what you will see in lake county... very well kept. Bathroom is clean. Rated it lower because there's not much shade, not as much to look at and a huge amount of people that don't pick up their dog poop.

I like this trail for bird watching. In addition the condition of the loop is consistently manicured and smooth.

4 stars is for the scenery 0 stars for walking non existent trail. My bad. I should have paid more attention to prior reviews.

I give it 4 stars for birdwatching. The gates to the parking lot were closed today. Not sure why. So I improvised... I won't do that again. haha. Got tangled up in many thorns trying to go the other way around (of trail). This is primarily a place to park, walk out and enjoy the many species that stop over at this rookery. Not much trail if that's what you are looking for.

Nice and easy hike. Flat terrain and very simple to follow with great signs giving directions. I love seeing the natural landscapes of Illinois. Even with the little bit of snow left it was very relaxing. There were some ducks, swans, and cranes out already (this is in March 2017). I can't wait to go back later in the spring when there are more flowers and animals out! I imagine it's going to be beautiful.

Walked, ran, and snowshoed this loop. Beautiful prairie, oak savanna, and wetland habitat with great wildlife viewing. My most frequented trail.

Out of the way. Quiet. Pretty with birds. Nice looped trail. Exposed. No real shading. Worth doing.

Went for a run on the trail with my dog. Nice little out-of-the-way track. Trail pretty flat but lots of birds
