Hiked May 2018. 3 year old walked the entire thing.

Grrrrr, Arrrrh, Urrrrr!

Easy hike. Waterfall is beautiful when leaves are green. be careful and don't climb on the waterfall it is very slippery.

This is a great little trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall. I went a day after heavy rains and it seemed to be the right time to go.There are 2 ways to start this trail, there is a moderate trail head by the campsites and an easy trailhead by the picnic areas. Both leading to the same place. If you start from the Picnic areas it is graveled/ dirt path to the waterfall, pretty flat, but there are numerous trails that go up into the rocks and waterfalls along the way. the main trail I do not believe is 2 miles, but I did a little exploring on the extra paths which made it longer. Very doggo friendly,my doggo loved it. through out the park and other trails I went on, not many trail heads, but more then likely you will always find a good path that will lead the way.

More of a moderate Trail for us. Had several inclines and declines. Well kept Trail through forest and along rock bluffs to cave. Would definitely take again.

Nice easy hike along bluffs. The trail is mostly flat. Two small waterfalls and a shallow stream when we were there. Will be back in June with our grandson.

A very nice hike after the first 1.5 . It was pretty muddy on the trail back but still liked the hike and the features.

Well-maintained path. Perfect for an easy walk. The waterfall was beautiful today.

Easy trail. Very pretty walk thru valley with rock walls. Waterfall was very pretty and running strong when we saw it. Worth the walk.

This is a great little hike. Short trail with a beautiful waterfall. Good year-round! I love climbing up the waterfall at the end.

Moderate trail with lush vegetation, some parts have a moderate incline. The cave is a pretty cool spectacle to see. Lots of big trees and rock cliffs, Creeks, wild life are just a few things to see. Interesting would do it again in the winter to see what frozen sculptures nature has created.

Did this last year but it was in the dry part of the season. Trail was easy to hike and a great starter for kids. There was a waterfall at the end of it but just trickling due to lack of rainfall so suggest just after a good rain. Easy access trails from the campsite and close to other trail heads. Over all ‘ relaxing’.

Go during the winter! Seeing the waterfall frozen over is amazing

Gorgeous especially after a good rain! I thought we may never make it as fun as the kiddos were having playing in the creek on the way. Bluffs were gorgeous, too!

This may be one of my family’s favorite trails, yet. It’s perfect for the kiddos and the cave halfway through was awesome! We could have spent an entire day at the cave before ever coming back. We’ll definitely be back. This whole park is amazing!

Love this trail, once you figure out how to navigate it, it’s a breeze. I don’t know what it is about Fern Clyffe but it smells so good! Word of caution though, if it’s the wet season be ready to cross some water and get your feet wet!

Super peaceful atmosphere. No trash anywhere to be found. Beautiful ferns and pines.

Trail was easy to follow and an easy hike! there are starting to be some leaves on the ground so you'll want to be careful of your footing in areas with lots of roots. There are several good places where you can climb up on the rocks that makes this harder and more fun!

Excellent trail.

A very short, easy trail to a small canyon. It looks like there might be a small intermittent waterfall at the end when it isn't so dry. The stream and falls were dry when I visited. I noticed a sign indicating a rock climbing and repelling area near the trailhead if that's what you are into.

A mostly easy loop path, with several minor ups and downs and a few rocky areas to walk through. The main features are a couple shelter bluffs. One was fairly deep and the over was very high.

Pretty little trail. Very flat and easy. It is a wide path, well maintained that extends through a forested canyon to a intermittent waterfall on the far end. The waterfall was and stream was dry when I hiked it, but it was still a very pleasant walk.

When we reached the part that it split 3 ways, we took the middle road labeled "Food Crops" and the rest of the way we followed the horse trail since that matched the trail on the app. After the first 1.5 miles, the trail becomes more fun to navigate. Near the end, it does however flatten and widen out again into a road. The creek was merely puddles here and there in the deeper sections. I bet it's gorgeous with the water!

This was a very beautiful trail! It was dry when we went on it, but the waterfall area was still very pretty. Lots to look at and huge rocks all around the whole way back to the waterfall.

If you google Ferne Clyffe waterfall and if the googlemaps or gps takes you to a dirt road then you are at wrong location. Instead search for FC State park and then keep following the picnic area directions (signs do not have arrows...one sign board has one arrow at the very end and other sign board has small font under picnic area stating go straigh ahead...it is easy to miss unless you stop and read it carefully). Once you enter picnic area there are tons of picnic tables...keep going all the way to the end until you reach cul de sac area and then you can park near that picnic area and there are 4 different trails.... Big Rocky Hollow Trail (waterfall) was decent hike unfortunately no water... second hike which we did was Hawks Cave Trail (caves)...this trail is loop and you have cross the caves and then there is a way which is not very clearly visible..

I would recommend going on this trail after a good rain.
