It’s really wide but there is still plenty of rocks and roots to have a good time on a mountain bike. There is lots of signage, however I wasn’t always sure which sign I needed to follow. Over all a great ride.

Trail surface: grass and mud, have had a lot of rain this year. Bugs: we did the three mile Outer Loop and almost turned back due to swarms of mosquitoes, also found ticks on me and my husband when we got home. Scenery: Really beautiful, but not much variation, wooded areas, grassy areas, wood bridges and river. Elevation gain: even though map claims some elevation feels essential flat. Amenities: Visitor Center very nice, restrooms very clean, staff very friendly, drinking fountain outside building, ample parking. Overall a lovely hike but mosquitoes a huge problem.

Great walking and biking trails.

Trails are pretty overgrown wear pants or long socks.

It’s beautiful

Hate to ever give a bad rating, but this place is a mosquito pit. Wanted to run 4-5 miles but cut it short due to the bugs.

Its a great place to go Roller Blading! Trail is alway paved nicely and always clean of debris.

Great bike ride

a great trail for a walk. not great for trail for a hike. but awfully pretty. walking on gravel which is nice and the whole preserve is very well maintained. would be great for the whole family, storyboards along trail a treat to find.

anyone planning on hiking the entire trail in one trip? I really would like to do it but I don't really want to go at it by myself, and if anyone has already done it I'll take some pointers on where I can resupply on food and whatnot along the way. thanks!

There's also a six and a half mile multi-use loop on the south end of the park. The majority of the trail is wooded but maybe a fourth of it passes through open meadows. It's one of the better trails of the surrounding area and is moderately difficult. Be warned though, the trails are not marked at all and it would be a good idea to download the map of the park from their website to your smartphone ahead of time.

While the trail itself was easy, I was surprised at how much there is to look at along the trail. Tons of variety of bees, dragonflies, butterflies, other insects and wildflowers. Minimal shade.

Well maintained gravel loop trails. Has a little of everything—lakes, prairie, woods. Plenty of foot traffic but it’s a gem that’s close to home.

Great trail, I bring my toddler in our stroller with our two dogs almost every week! So beautiful

Very scenic and connects to Millennium Trail. One of my favorites!

This trail is beautiful and easily walked. There is a nice balance of sun/shade from spring-fall. I really like this trail.

Nice easy trail to train for a 5K (if you don’t do the small loop at the creek). It does have a tendency to flood if there are heavy rains. I wound up running with fish one time (totally misjudged the amount of water on the trail).

Currently, it’s my favorite trail to run.

I had fun riding my bike here. People are nice. I will be back.

This is a very kid friendly trail. They have a Nature center and a nice playground for the little ones, and the trails are easy enough for kids of all ages. Nice scenery as a good part of the trail follows the Dupage River. There are signs all over the park that discuss the history of the land. Only complaint I have is the trails are not that well marked.

Great loop trail. Takes about 2 hours to walk.

Took my septuagenarian parents on this beautiful hike on a cool summer day. They loved it. Beauty abounds!

Great wheelchair accessible gravel path. One disabled parking spot. Accessible outhouse if one heads off the lake circuit into the North Picnic area. I am a wheelchair user and completed the entire circuit solo. It's a great training trail, but very nature manicured.

Great bike path. I ride here every day. Gets crowded during the weekends after 8am.

One of my favorite places to ride

First time here. Really liked this place. Was a great day with beautiful weather

This is beautiful at sunset

This is a nice trail and there’s also a grass trail not shown on this map. It’s pretty fluffy and hasn’t been trimmed down but surprisingly not a ton of mosquitos. If you love dragon flies it’s perfect back there. Saw a bunch of different types. Also some beautiful flowers tucked in there. If gas more time I would have gone to Lakewood and/or Ray Lake via this trail.

Nice trail, into Lake Bluff.
