Small trails but link with city street or sidewalk runs and Grant park trails or lakefront make perfect starting point. But run off times to avoid crowds. Great city views. Parking garage beneath the park is perfect... or park along lakefront up north at Montrose harbor for a longer run down to Grant Park area.

I've wanted to bike along Lake Michigan for years and we finally did it yesterday. It was everything I'd wanted. The path is well-used but not overcrowded. The views are amazing the entire way. We went from north of Irving Park all the way down to the museum campus. Terrific outing.

Yes! This is The 606 :)

The prairies are beautiful and so is the board walk. Most of the paths are paved, which is good for wheelchairs and strollers, but not for hiking.

Great view of the city just too many people

2.7 miles, mostly flat, mostly straight. Great for biking, walking or running. I love that there is a place I can ride and run without having to worry about cars. There is a great park on the east end and several smaller parks along the trail. I would rate this as an easy trail.

Easy, paved trails.
Some stairs, depending on where you enter the river walk.
Beautiful on a crisp Chicago morning.

The map is very user unfriendly. If your phones screen shuts off due to inactivity, you have to start the app up all over again. Each time which is annoying, especially when you're trying to get directions. There is much more art in this city that hasn't been tapped yet. The descriptions of the artwork isn't very descriptive and some don't even have the artists name.

Easiest to take Uber to Hyde Park to his home address probably or to the University of Chicago Law School. Fun walk, friendly neighborhood. We did maybe half of it.

Busy at times but well worth the number of people for the views of the lake & city!

Very modern and interesting.

Great City.

Very easy, but loved the dedicated bike lane which majority of joggers and walkers understand and obey. Lake Michigan on one side, city on other. Total of 15 miles from start of trail (north end) to Navy pier, and back. Free street parking at Lincoln Skate Park (large pay lot available also).

Even though I'm a NY Mets fan this neighborhood is hallowed ground for National League Baseball fans. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to see the Cubbies play but I did see Phish play Wrigley. Partook in local culture at many of the countless watering holes in the neighborhood

The scenery is great

The lake views are gorgeous, and it's a really nice walk. Not so great if you want something challenging.

Best biking trail in Chicago. South of Soldier Field is the best part of the trail with fewer people and more trees. The views of downtown from Promontory point are incredible.

It has such an amazing view and enough space for joggers, bikers and walking pets.
