A must go in Chicago, especially great at night. The riverwalk is now complete so you can walk all the way from Michigan Ave around Wacker. The views are great, you can stop and have lunch, dinner or a drink at and in the night sky, the building lights are one of the best views in all of Chicago. Easy walking path with stairs, ramps and elevators for easy access.

Good outdoor space for going museum-to-museum/etc with city skyline views and the lake!

Nice views of the city skyline and lake as others have referenced.

Loved this little spot! One of the few in the city that feels like an oasis! Trails are easy and paved, but the nature is very beautiful. Lots of butterflies, wildlife, a lovely little lake/pond, and tons of wildflowers! Stunning little place. As good as it gets in Chicago, that’s for sure!

The prettiest trail af all...but unfortunately a lot of ppl, so be careful.

Nice view on the City

Go in the morning on a weekday, and you'll nearly have this area to yourself! Enjoy the many moods of Lake Michigan, great views of the city, and plenty of swamp and water birds

Beautiful views of the city. A great urban trail

Didn't walk the full trail but this is an amazing way to get around outside of the city streets if you don't mind walking.

Nice trail to walk right by the river, can watch the boats pass and see the historic city.

Another fantastic trail in Chicago. This is a bit of nature set outside the city, offering a breath of fresh air with some epic views.

Walked this trail a lot as a tourist. Fantastic trail with so many sights to see, from grand buildings to Lake Michigan.

Scenic flat concrete trail next to Lake Michigan. Can be warm later in the day so I recommend early morning running. You can meet the River Walk as part of your run.

Really fun walk. Great Chicago architecture, river, restaurants, people watching. Great for photography too.

Nice running trail. Plenty of shaded sections, great for running in a hot sunny day

The best way to discover the beauty of Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan! If you’re a local or out of town tourist, I recommend this to anyone who would like to run or bike towards the heart of downtown or their first time in Chicago.

Nice nature walk near Rosehill Cemetery. Good for moderate hiking or running but ok for a bit of biking just watch out that some of trails can go in different places and turns can be blocked by the overgrown plants.

Beat to do on a weekday as the park gets crowded with beachgoers and tourists, especially around Navy Pier. The flyover at the pier is running way behind schedule, now estimated for sometime in 2019.

Crowd is the only reason to avoid. Excellent for recreation.

Pretty city and lake views! Paved parkway for bikes, rollerblades and strollers. I highly suggest looking into the 5/10k Run for the Zoo- you run this path and also through exhibits!

gorgeous view. it can be crowded. the views of the city are well worth it

This used to be my running trail! Super crowded if the weather is nice, but hit the trail before 7 am and it’s almost entirely yours. Great for running, walking, biking, or rollerblading.

Beautiful trail with restaurants and bars lining the majority of the trail. A great place to appreciate the beautiful architecture that Chicago has to offer.

Not much to look at but a great dog park!

Small trails but link with city street or sidewalk runs and Grant park trails or lakefront make perfect starting point. But run off times to avoid crowds. Great city views. Parking garage beneath the park is perfect... or park along lakefront up north at Montrose harbor for a longer run down to Grant Park area.

I've wanted to bike along Lake Michigan for years and we finally did it yesterday. It was everything I'd wanted. The path is well-used but not overcrowded. The views are amazing the entire way. We went from north of Irving Park all the way down to the museum campus. Terrific outing.
