gorgeous view. it can be crowded. the views of the city are well worth it

This used to be my running trail! Super crowded if the weather is nice, but hit the trail before 7 am and it’s almost entirely yours. Great for running, walking, biking, or rollerblading.

Beautiful trail with restaurants and bars lining the majority of the trail. A great place to appreciate the beautiful architecture that Chicago has to offer.

I've wanted to bike along Lake Michigan for years and we finally did it yesterday. It was everything I'd wanted. The path is well-used but not overcrowded. The views are amazing the entire way. We went from north of Irving Park all the way down to the museum campus. Terrific outing.

Great view of the city just too many people

Easy, paved trails.
Some stairs, depending on where you enter the river walk.
Beautiful on a crisp Chicago morning.

Best biking trail in Chicago. South of Soldier Field is the best part of the trail with fewer people and more trees. The views of downtown from Promontory point are incredible.

It has such an amazing view and enough space for joggers, bikers and walking pets.

Nice route when there isn't too many people! A nice taste of the city life and it's sky scrapers and concludes with a beautiful scene of Lake Michigan.

Great trail for a large city. However it is definitely not a trail you would take for solitude. Bicyclists and joggers are plentiful.

Love this path along the lake!! Lots of people, but you can get down to the water from sections of the trail.

Great walk in the city. Lots to see and do! Love the pier

It was a crowded summer day when we walked this one but was a good walk. Plenty to see and some great views of Chicago architecture.

This is a really enjoyable biking trail with lake views and park. Flat surface, not overly traffic, in the city but without the crowds.

Amazing !!!!

I started from Lincoln Park, walked the Magnificent Mile to the Navy Pier and then followed the lake shore trail all the way back to the Field Museum. The scenery was wonderful.

Best way to see Downtown Chicago is by walking through it. Recently I visited the Field Museum and I wanted to explore Downtown Chicago. So I followed the Columbus and walked toward Downtown, around the Millenium Park, I turned to the River Walk, and then back to the Michigan Ave. Finally I arrived at the Lincoln Park. The walk was nice and it allowed me to see the Chicago at the street level.

More of a walk and a hike. Urban Park. Great Dog Park, ice rink in the winter, movies in the summer, farmers market. Hoops and lots of room to have a catch.
