***1.5 miles into the trail you come to a straightaway where Rocky Bluff intersects with Wild Turkey Trail, there is a trail that offshoots to the NorthWest that looks like the turn to stay on Rocky Bluff. THIS IS NOT A TRAIL. The actual turnoff to go from Rocky Bluff and Wild Turkey back onto Rocky Bluff is further down the trail

Super fun time:) pretty great views as well I definitely got some great pictures! There were some points where you were not on solid terrain (big rocks, mud, steep slopes) but not for more than a few steps. Great experience 10/10

amazing trail, there are few spots could be oops, but then take your time. to bad our winter had little or no snow, so the water fall is lite..

remember to check out the added on Wild Turkey Trail .

I really like this trail. It’s close by and an easy trail. I’ve seen deer on this trail several times during my many walks on this trail.

Remember to stop and get a sticker at the visitor center before using trails. Nice loop trail. It was in good shape and easy to follow from parking lot. The waterfall is right at the loop entrance. I would recommend going right or counter clockwise so you end coming up the waterfall.

Easily one of my favorite easy trails. Lots of bridges over small creeks or drops. Nice creek alongside the trail. Beautiful bluffs. Trail winds in and out of them. Lots of people complained about the mud but if you wear hiking boots it isn't an issue. A few hills but not many and not that steep at all.

Great trail, clearly marked. Trees over the trail have been cut and weren’t an issue. It was a bit muddy, but still doable. We took the trail to the right and saw a waterfall, bluffs, rocks, ledges, & a large creek. My kids ages 11 & 16 enjoyed it. Going to the left would get you straight to the best waterfall, but you’d miss the other falls and the creek. Try walking up to the left at the larger falls (toward the end) and walking under the falls. My husband & 16 year old did and had fun.

Beautiful trail. We started to the left with the waterfall. Trails were easy to follow. Parking was easy and we saw a bald eagle perched on a tree! We stopped to get our permit first at the visitor center. Nice display of wildlife in there. We signed up for the bald eagle tour while we were there so hoping to learn more about these majestic birds.

Absolute beautiful trail. Plenty of bluffs , water, creeks and viewing areas. Great great trail to take your time on . Bring a snack and enjoy some of the spots for 10-15 min

Very very smooth . You could do a stroller no problem. Awesome blind to view the ducks. Just an overall excellent trail.

This was a moderately easy trail. It was muddy and slick, but it has been snowy/rainy in the area very recently. To hike this trail, you must buy a permit from the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. If you follow the map to the trail from this app, the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is about a 10 minute drive, located at 8588 IL-148, Marion, IL 62959. The trail was marked pretty well. I wasn’t sure I was headed in the right direction, (it gets a little ‘too woodsy,’ even for a hiking trail at some points) but I found the next marker pretty easily. There are two waterfalls on this trail, both of which were not flowing on my visit (12-21-19). If you just want to see one waterfall, if the weather permits, there is one at the beginning of the trail. I went right instead of left at the trail head, but if you go left, and the waterfall is flowing on that day, it is a quick walk to the waterfall. You can hear the water flow, and see how the rocks have eroded at the very beginning of the trail head. (This is part of the waterfall, not the walking trail, so fear not!). This was a nice little day trip for me. I would recommend caution if you bring children or dogs.
